Chapter 731: Theories
Anthonyâs mind drifted toward the Warlords, his thoughts spinning quietly beneath the calm surface of his expression. He wondered how many questions they would bombard him with once he visited them again. He could already imagine the barrage of inquiries, the heavy gazes, and the subtle curiosity hidden behind their composure. A sigh escaped his lips at the thought, but he knew he couldnât avoid them for long.
He had to meet them eventually.
After all, his parents and grandfather were expected to return by tomorrow, one of the key reasons for his own return to the military base.
âItâs been a while since Iâve seen Grandma, he thought to himself,â his gaze softening for a moment as distant memories surfaced, memories of warmth, laughter, and that unshakable strength his grandmother always carried.
âHave the other three Warlords returned?â Anthony asked suddenly, breaking the silence.
He remembered them vividly, the three Warlords from the former Military Base Alpha-6 who had left for Alpha-9, heading out to wage war against the demons in vengeance for their fallen Supreme Monarch.
âOther three Warlords?â Seraphim asked, a hint of confusion in her tone.
Anthony gave her a faint, almost knowing smile. âHave you forgotten your former Warlords already? The Triarch of Reality, the Phoenix Triplets: Kaelrix, Zauren, and Therionis. The three whose innate talents are Creation, Destruction, and Transformation.â
His words seemed to ignite recognition within them, jogging half-forgotten memories buried beneath layers of battles and missions.
âAh⊠right,â Dale muttered with a slow exhale. âIt seems we forgot, even if only for a split second.â
âWait, what did you just say?â Reynold interrupted suddenly, his eyes widening. âCreation, Destruction, and Transformation? How can someone even possess such things as a talent?â His voice was filled with disbelief, and for a moment, his normally calm demeanor faltered.
At his question, the rest of the team fell into a heavy silence, their eyes distant and contemplative. They were all thinking the same thing, how could such overwhelming abilities even exist in a mortal body?
What was Creation? What was Destruction? What was Transformation?
Anthony noticed their spiraling expressions and shook his head with a quiet sigh before he spoke again. âOf course, there would be limits to such abilities. Nothing that powerful comes without restrictions. I donât know exactly what those limits are, but they definitely exist.â
His explanation, however, did little to diminish the shock painted on their faces. The concept alone, three beings capable of wielding such primordial powers, was enough to rattle even seasoned warriors like them.
Seraphim finally broke the silence, her tone heavy with resignation. âWe donât know anything about them. Itâs just like it was back at Military Base Alpha-6. We didnât even know when they left. We didnât know they were stationed here either.â
Anthony gave a slow nod. He didnât particularly care. He had only remembered them in passing, asked the question on a whim, nothing more, nothing less.
Daleâs gaze flickered between his half-empty glass and Anthonyâs calm expression. He seemed to want to say something, yet hesitation gripped him. After a brief pause, he finally spoke up.
âSo, if itâs not really a secret,â Dale began carefully, âcan you tell us how Vega suddenly had such a massive power jump?â
The air shifted.
Every gaze turned toward Dale, their expressions somewhere between disbelief and pity, as if silently asking if he had lost his mind. Everyone had secrets, even the closest of friends didnât share everything. They all had their reasons, their mysteries, their hidden strengths. But Dale had gone and asked the one question that none of them dared to voice aloud.
âWellâŠâ Anthony began, his tone calm but final, âit is a secret. But itâs not mine to share. If youâre curious, you can ask her yourself. If she tells you, thatâs her choice.â
His answer was simple, yet it closed the matter entirely.
Across the Blue Planet, most top races, aside from humans, relied heavily on bloodline purity. The higher oneâs bloodline purity, the greater their talent, potential, and overall capabilities. It was why so many had been infatuated with Tiara, why countless individuals, humans and vampires alike, had tried to get close to her.
It was also why the Blood Empress, the Vice Principal of Omni Peak Academy, had taken Tiara in as her disciple. Her bloodline purity was unlike anything most had ever seen.
Humans, however, were different. They didnât possess such an innate advantage. Their power came from their class awakening at the age of ten. Or rather, it was believed that humans had no bloodline system at all. In truth, it was safer to say that humans on the Blue Planet were simply unaware of their own hidden bloodline ranks and purity levels, unlike other races who had long since mastered theirs.
Many had speculated about the existence of human bloodline ranks, some scholars even theorized methods of enhancing them, but without concrete evidence, such ideas remained nothing more than theories. Thoughts lost to time.
If it ever became known that Vega or Anthony possessed a higher-ranked bloodline, or even a purer form of human essence, chaos would spread like wildfire. Nobody would care about the details. Nobody would ask what kind of boost such a bloodline provided, or whether it truly granted power at all. The mere existence of something beyond the ordinary human limit would be enough.
For the world, it would mean that a new window of possibility had opened, a gateway toward ascension. And the moment such a rumor spread, everyone would pounce.
Humans, non-humans, and hybrids alike would all turn their eyes toward Anthony and Vega. Some would seek to capture them, others to experiment, and some to simply end them, closing off any chance for humanity to climb higher.
But Anthony wasnât worried.
Klaus and Amara, Vegaâs parents, would burn the galaxy to ash before letting anyone harm their daughter. Klaus, the Blood Emperor, would turn entire systems into rivers of crimson. And Amara, with her terrifying Cause and Effect ability, would know the moment anyone even thought of moving against Vega.
Anthony could only offer a silent prayer to whoever was foolish enough to try. Even death would be a blessing for them, he thought grimly.
As for himself, Anthony felt no fear. He knew that Klaus and Amara would help him if necessary, but he also knew he didnât need them to. He could protect himself just fine. After all, he had Voryss, the Primordial Behemoth bound to him. With a single call, she could descend and erase anything that stood before him. One attack from her could annihilate galaxies.
Still, Anthony wasnât the type to rely on others, or his summons, to fight his battles for him. He preferred facing his challenges head-on. But, he wasnât foolish. If he knew his opponent was far stronger, there was no reason to court death unnecessarily.
In that case, he would gladly hand them over to Voryss.
âThat would be a sight to behold,â Anthony mused silently, a faint smile tugging at his lips. He could almost imagine it, the ground trembling, the skies shattering, and the sheer majesty of Voryss unleashing her full might.
The thought lingered in his mind like a spark of amusement before fading into the calm, steady rhythm of his breathing.
I still need your golden ticket⊠please.
