Chapter 1090: Shanshan Side Story (17) Chapter 1090: Shanshan Side Story (17) âIâm so full.â
Shanshan let out a cute belch and continued to lick her ice cream non-stop.
She took out her phone and saw that it was almost time to meet up.
She turned around and walked back the way she had come, naturally, without slowing down her ice cream eating.
âBeat him, beat him up.â
âThey really think they can compete with us for the court? They must be tired of living.â
âHit them, hit them hard, hahahaâŠâ
The ruckus of cursing and fighting resounded with violence.
Shanshan paused in her steps, her faint brows slightly furrowed.
Whatâs going on?
Could it be that thereâs a fight?
That thought sparked a flicker of curiosity in her eyes.
She followed the sound of the commotion, and after walking around the lush greenery, a Basketball Court came into view.
âHit them, hit them hard, letâs see if they dare to come here and challenge us again.â
âHaha, boss, look at this kid, heâs even bleeding from his nose.â
In the spacious Basketball Court, a group of youths were throwing punches and kicks at two who were on the ground, their faces full of arrogant contempt.
âGrown-ups like you still like to bully the few with the many, arenât you ashamed?â Shanshan leaned by the gate, one hand in her pocket, her cap pulled low to hide her facial expression.
Her accent was so pure, youâd think she was from Y Country.
The youths looked up at Shanshan, exchanging glances, and the one who had been called boss cracked his knuckles and stepped forward.
The youth had a golden buzz-cut, spiky like a hedgehog, with defiant eyebrows arching skyward and a smirk on his lips.
âMiss, what do you mean by that?â
Shanshan scoffed, âWhat I mean is I look down on you guys. Do you have bad eyes and canât see that?â
After speaking, she took another bite of her ice cream.
The blond youthâs face darkened, and he glared at Shanshan with fierce eyes, his fists cracking, âYou little brat, are you looking for trouble?â
âYouâre wrong.â
Shanshan raised a finger and waved it, then stepped forward.
âItâs not me looking for trouble; itâs you whoâs asking for a beating.â
Before he could react, she tossed the remaining half of her ice cream at him, hitting him right in the face.
In that instant, the air seemed to freeze, and all was silent.
The others gaped at the girl who had appeared so suddenly, their long reaction time leaving them slow to respond.
The chilly ice cream began to melt slowly on the boyâs face, looking rather pitiful.
At this moment, a certain song about being cold fits him quite well.
âMy ice cream.â Shanshan said regretfully, âItâs all because your face is so hot that it melted my ice cream.â
ââŠâ
The others were speechless.
She had smeared his face with ice cream and was blaming his high body temperatureâwhat kind of bizarre train of thought was that?
âYou crazy girl, youâre asking for it.â The blond youth angrily wiped the ice cream off his face, the sticky feeling only fueling his rage.
Shanshan whistled teasingly, âIf youâre so capable, hit me.â
Repeatedly provoked, the youth could no longer hold back or he would be a coward.
He swung his fist, not caring that his opponent was a girl, aiming straight for her face.
âYou little brat, today youâre going to kneel here and apologize to me.â
With a nimble bend of her waist, Shanshan easily dodged the youthâs powerful punch and hopped aside, smiling, âThatâs easy, you can buy a pillow and take a nap. That way youâll get your wish faster.â
Fantasies that canât be realized, when muddled by sleep, may still hold a glimmer of hope.
The boyâs face flushed with anger as he aimed a kick at Shanshan.
âCrazy girl, if you have the guts, donât dodge.â
Shanshan agilely dodged the boyâs attack, playing defense without making an offensive move, which infuriated the boy even more as the mushroom cloud of his rage grew larger.
âIf I donât dodge, should I just stand there and let you hit me? You may be dumb, but Iâm certainly not.â She glanced back at the boy and made a face, âNyah nyah nyah, big dummy.â
The others looked on in surprise as the two ran around the Basketball Court.
That girl looked to be no more than nine years old, yet she possessed such stamina.
After running around the basketball hoop twice and enduring Shanshanâs teasing, the boy bent over, hands on his knees, gasping for breath.
âYouâre winded already?â Shanshan stopped in her tracks and looked at the panting boy not far away with a sly smile, âTsk tsk, what a weakling.â
âWhat are you standing around for? Hurry up and catch her for me.â The blond boy was drenched in sweat and looked at the other boys with irritation as he barked his order.
The others exchanged glances and then charged at Shanshan together.
âNo class.â
Shanshan pursed her lips, deftly dodging a fist coming her way and throwing a punch back at the red-haired boyâs nose with a backhand swing.
âAh!â
A piercing shriek rang out, similar to that of slaughtering a pig.
The red-haired boy covered his nose, tears streaming down as the pain became unbearable, with warm liquid gushing from between his fingers and past his nostrils.
The bloodstains were frighteningly crimson.
âWow, your nose is so tough.â
Shanshan blew on her hand, complaining as she spoke.
The red-haired boy was so in pain he couldnât articulate it.
She almost broke his nasal bone and yet had the nerve to complain about his nose being tough; where was the justice in that?
âCrap, thereâs no time left.â
Suddenly remembering that she had to gather, Shanshan reined in her playful spirit, her eyes quickly turning icy.
She dodged the blond boyâs fist to the side, propped herself up with one hand, and kicked each of the two boys in their abdomens with her long legs.
Then, she did a somersault and landed firmly on the ground.
Shanshan snapped her fingers and beckoned the remaining three boys with a curl of her finger.
With a smirk, she said, âWerenât you going to beat me up?â
The remaining three boys hesitated as they glanced at their groaning companions on the ground.
âYou wouldnât happen to be chickening out, would you?â Shanshan taunted them on purpose.
The fiery-tempered boys couldnât withstand goading, and all three struck out at Shanshan with powerful punches, intending to bring her down.
Shanshan smiled coldly, each punch landing squarely on the boysâ faces, before she grabbed them by their collars and slammed them down to the ground.
âOuchâŠâ
The boy with a tattoo on his arm fell to the ground, curling up and continuously wailing.
Sensing movement behind her, Shanshan scoffed and delivered a reverse kick.
The kick was swift, fierce, and accurate.
The blond boy aiming for a sneak attack clutched his abdomen as his face turned deathly pale, and then he toppled backward.
âThumpââ
The tall frame fell to the ground, stirring up a cloud of choking dust.
Looking down from her superior position at the boys strewn across the ground, Shanshan adjusted the brim of her hat, âYou bunch of losers, if youâre this arrogant and bully people again, Miss here will beat you up every time she sees you.â
The wailing boys, fearful of Shanshanâs violence, inwardly cursed, wondering who was truly the arrogant one now.
âThank you.â The two boys who had been bullied earlier supported each other and came up to Shanshan, their eyes brimming with gratitude.
Shanshan glanced at the two, who looked studious with their glasses, giving off a somewhat delicate air, no wonder they were bullied.
