The direction where the Heaven and Earth Power converged was found once again, and Han Yan discovered that this direction was completely different from what she had previously detected. In other words, if she couldnât break the seal, she would never be able to reach the place where the Heaven and Earth Power converged by following the previous direction.
The direction was just a general idea, and Han Yan wasnât interested in having a war of words with Jiang Qiling, so she changed her path and moved forward.
Although her impression of Jiang Qiling had somewhat improved, Han Yan still remained wary of her, not only because of the Qiu Family issue but also because of the upcoming freshman competition and the subsequent Secret Realm trials for the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate. The two were destined to be rivals; at least for now, they were enemies, not friends.
Just as Han Yan expected, Jiang Qiling also didnât want to have any interaction with her. However, what neither of them anticipated was that they would run into each other again just a few hours later.
Before them was a mountain rising from the flat land. Although not as magnificent as Flying Peak, it was still quite prominent in the Illusion Dragon Hall. Upon reaching the foot of the mountain, Han Yan found that the Heaven and Earth Power had become chaotic again, and she once more lost direction.
Undoubtedly, there was a hidden seal nearby, and only by breaking it could she find the correct direction.
After resting for a moment, Han Yan began searching around. After circling halfway around the mountain foot, she once again encountered Jiang Qiling.
"Why is it you again!" Han Yan exclaimed, surprised to see Jiang Qiling.
At this moment, the Little Witch Long Yan looked disheveled and improperly dressed, with some dry grass and leaves sticking to her body, as if she had just endured an unspeakable torment. Her miserable appearance and pitiful expression were even worse than before.
Jiang Qiling stared blankly at Han Yan for a moment and then suddenly seemed to realize something, saying, "I understand, I understand now. No wonder Iâm so unlucky, itâs because I ran into you, the jinx."
"If youâre incompetent, just shut yourself in for cultivation. Donât always blame others," Han Yan retorted unceremoniously.
Looking at the seal not far from Jiang Qiling, Han Yan could easily guess what had happened.
"Hmph, if you have the skill, go ahead and try," Jiang Qiling replied defiantly.
These seals were much more complex than the previous ones. She had tried her best but was still at a loss. She didnât believe Han Yan had the capability.
"Fine, letâs see. By the way, this time you wonât say that youâve broken most of it and let me take advantage, will you?" Han Yan teased. Suddenly, she found it quite amusing to bully this spoiled young lady.
"Hmph." Jiang Qiling blushed and turned her head, no longer looking at Han Yan.
Han Yan bent down and began studying those seals.
With the experience from last time, Han Yan easily discovered that these seals contained not only Sword Casting Techniques but also Alchemy Techniques. Perhaps there was some commonality between sword crafting and alchemy.
Compared to the previous seals that subtly implied Alchemy Skills, these seals were more complex and interlinked, making them much more difficult to break.
After pondering for a long time, Han Yan slowly began to make hand gestures. The Sword Casting Technique she used was, of course, the Thirty-Six Forms of Casting, Forging, and Sharpening she learned from Nie Fangsheng, while the Alchemy Technique was an introductory technique she learned from a book called "Alchemy Essence."
"Iâm warning you, the Rebound Force of these seals is much stronger than the previous ones. If it kills you, donât say I didnât warn you," Jiang Qiling said with irritation, feeling deeply humiliated that Han Yan used techniques from elementary books.
"You should worry about yourself. Are you badly hurt?" Han Yan said, throwing over a few Elixirs.
Noting her weak voice, Han Yan realized that Jiang Qiling was seriously injured.
Jiang Qiling blushed, instinctively catching the Elixirs. She wanted to toss them to the ground and crush them, but after hesitating, she decided to take them.
She hadnât expected the Illusion Dragon Hall to be so formidable, had brought few Elixirs, and after repeated injuries, had consumed her supply. If she couldnât heal quickly, even if she found the place where Heaven and Earth Power converged, it would be hard to undergo meridian clearing and marrow washing.
Although Han Yan giving her the Elixirs felt like charity and an insult to her dignity, weighing the importance, she could only reluctantly accept Han Yanâs humiliation.
"I owe you one, and Iâll repay you doubly in the future," Jiang Qiling said stubbornly, trying to preserve a shred of dignity in front of Han Yan.
"No need, Iâm always kind-hearted, even feeding injured kittens and puppies with healing pills when I see them," Han Yan said seriously.
"Han Yan, Iâll fight you!" Jiang Qiling was livid, her face turning pale as she prepared to pounce.
"Focus on healing. In your current miserable state, you canât beat me. In fact, you could never beat me. Besides, the seal is about to break, so donât distract me," Han Yan replied, easily deflecting Jiang Qilingâs anger.
Jiang Qilingâs raised arm dropped down powerlessly, her face full of helpless rage. Han Yan was right; even without her injury, she couldnât match Han Yan, let alone with her current condition. Unless she wanted to provoke misery, she could only endure the humiliation, no matter how severe.
"Han Yan, one day I will repay todayâs humiliation tenfold, a hundredfold," Jiang Qiling vowed fiercely to herself, the normally melting Elixir crunching between her teeth like she was chewing Han Yanâs bones, which somehow greatly lifted her spirits.
After taking the Elixir, Jiang Qiling began to perform Energy Movement techniques to heal. Suddenly, she heard a faint sound, and upon opening her eyes, she saw that the seals had vanished.
They actually broke! Jiang Qiling was dumbfounded. She had spent considerable time and effort learning Sword Casting and Alchemy Techniques, yet had no way of breaking these seals. But Han Yan had done it easily with just the basic techniques learned from an introductory book.
This guy, is she even human? Isnât she simply beyond the natural order? Jiang Qiling felt an inexplicable sense of defeat.
"You can follow me if you want, I donât mind if you take advantage. Of course, you can go alone, but I have enough Elixirs with me, and as long as youâre not dead, I can heal you," Han Yan returned Jiang Qilingâs words without mercy.
Having said this, Han Yan didnât wait for Jiang Qilingâs response before moving forward.
Humiliated and furious, Jiang Qiling trembled all over with anger, but dared not act.
"Han Yan, how dare you insult me like this! Consider yourself lucky; if it werenât for those two Elixirs, even if it cost my life, I would have fought you to the death today," Jiang Qiling muttered to herself in a voice only she could hear, somehow managing to avoid collapsing from Han Yanâs blows.
