We arrived at the Mouri Detective Agency. My manager had a restaurant reservation, so he left.
"I feel like I forgot something... Ah! Heiji!"
I realized I had forgotten to say goodbye to Heiji.
"Well, I'll see him again sometime."
Conan, standing beside me, said sympathetically, "Heiji seemed really happy to see us..."
Just then, Ran invited me to eat.
"Jin, eat before you go. You'll be alone at home anyway."

While eating, I brought up the yacht trip.
"The repairs on my new yacht are finished. How about we go on a trip on a day this month when the holiday and weekend overlap?"

Kogoro asked, "Just you two going?"

I woke up around 8 AM. Everyone was still asleep, so I prepared breakfast. I made simple bacon sandwiches and soup and set the table. Soon, people started waking up, yawning.

Sonoko saw the prepared meal and asked.
"We arrived in Osaka at 3 AM. I slept and then woke up."
"Wow... You're so diligent... No wonder you're rich. Hey, if you get tired of Ran, how about marrying me? I think I'd feel secure marrying Jin."
Sonoko said this even though Ran was right there. Probably a joke.
"Honestly."
Ran also seemed to take it as a joke. We had a late breakfast.
"Wow~ This is delicious. It's just a simple sandwich, but why is it so good?"
Sonoko was impressed, and Ran boasted, "Jin is an amazing cook, too."
"Really... Good at studying, good at cooking, capable, athletic, handsome, and diligent. The perfect husband material. Ran, how about letting me have Jin?"
"Sorry, but Jin is already going to marry me. Give up."

Everyone laughed. Except for one person. Of course, that was Conan.
After finishing the meal and cleaning up, we washed up and prepared to go out.
"So, today we're going to Universal Studios and the aquarium?"

We changed into light clothing, took a taxi from the marina to Universal Studios. When we got out at the main gate, we saw Heiji waving.

Heiji wasn't alone; he came with 'Toyama Kazuha'. I knew her, but asked anyway.

Sonoko seemed to have figured out the relationship between Heiji and Kazuha.

I figured they'd sort it out themselves and left them alone. We played until around 3 PM, when it was time to go to the Kaiyukan aquarium. But I couldn't go. I needed to return to the yacht to prepare. The yacht didn't need fuel, but I needed to refill the water and empty the blackwater tank. I had told everyone in advance, so they knew.
"Then, have fun. I'll have everything ready."
"Are you sure you don't want to come? Should I just come back to the yacht?"
Ran asked again, but I said it was fine.
"No, I'm fine. And if you come too, Sonoko will be the only one."
"I suppose. Okay."
I said goodbye to the others. Heiji and Kazuha were holding hands, so it seemed some progress had been made. I was glad they weren't frustratingly dense.
"Then, see you later, Heiji."
"Thank you for today."
He had bought me lunch and yet was thanking me. He must have liked the outcome.
I returned to the marina, cleaned and prepared the yacht, and bought more supplies. Evening was approaching, but Conan and the others hadn't returned.
'Did something happen?'
It couldn't be money problems. I had paid for the aquarium tickets and given Ran emergency cash.
I was about to go look for them when I saw Ran, Sonoko, and Conan entering the marina. Kogoro wasn't with them.
"What happened? Where's Mouri-san?"
"Well..."
Ran explained what happened at the aquarium. A murder had occurred, so Kogoro had to stay and help, solving the case and catching the culprit. They came ahead so I wouldn't worry.
'Damn god of death, spreading death here too.'
I looked at Conan. Oblivious to my thoughts, he nodded proudly as if to say, 'I handled it, so don't worry.' I wanted to knock some sense into him.
