Chapter 426
Upon hearing this, Austin instantly had tears in his eyes. âWhat?! Has my sister been in Clance all these years?â
âŠ.
His complexion turned somewhat anxious.
Yet, flashes of a scene from fifteen years ago darted through his mind.
Back then, he was five, and his sister was four.
Because he was eager to play, he quietly snuck his sister out of the house, only to be targeted by human traffickers!
Initially, the traffickers wanted to capture him since he was a boy.
His sister rushed to the feet of the trafficker and held on tight, refusing to let go. The trafficker slapped her several times, but she didnât release her grip.
The neighbors heard the commotion and were about to step out the door.
The trafficker, not daring to delay any longer, let Austin go out of fear and took the little girl who was clinging to him and put her in the car.
Austin was petrified then and failed to rescue his sister; he could only watch helplessly as they drove her away.
He chased after the car as hard as he could, crying his heart out, but it was to no avail.
That car never stopped.
Upon recalling that scene, Austin felt an immense pain in his heart.
That was why he could never free himself from the guilt of that incident and spent his days in Clance in idleness, never doing anything serious.
But Lady Gill and the rest indulged himâŠ
They all knew why Austin behaved that way.
Lady Gill hurried back to tell him the news as soon as she got it because of thisâŠ
Austin was ecstatic. âFinding her should be much easier if we can pinpoint my sisterâs address! Mom, send more people to search in Clance! Even if we have to turn every stone, we must find her!!â
Lady Gill nodded, comforting him. âAlright, I know. Donât worry.â
Austin immediately dashed upstairs and came back with a box in his arms. He then rushed to Lady Gill. âMom, these are the gifts Iâve prepared for my sister over the years. All my bank cards are in here, along with the certificate of my company shares⊠My sister gave me my life; all these things should be hers after we find her!â
Lady Gillâs eyes became teary, and she nodded firmly. âOkay. Your sister wonât blame youâŠâ
Austin wiped away his tears. âMy sister and I were so close when we were little. We were always together. She wonât blame me. Itâs just⊠I donât know if she lived comfortably over the years.â
Lady Gill also sighed. âHopefully, a kind-hearted person took her in.â
Austin nodded.
Just then, Austinâs phone suddenly rang. He answered, and Jacksonâs howling cries came through. âAustin, Austin, you must stand up for me! GoshâŠâ
Austin moved the phone a bit further away until the pitiful screams on the other side ended. He then put it back to his ear. âWhat happened to you?â
âAustin,â Jackson said weakly. âItâs Keera! She beat me up again today. She crushed my⊠family jewels!â
Upon hearing this, Austin glanced subconsciously at a certain part of himself and immediately felt a chill.
That place was probably the most sensitive and vulnerable spot for a man, and to have it crushedâŠ
Austin shuddered suddenly. Thankfully, Keera had shown some mercy when she moved against him last time!
How could he knowâŠ
He was just a loudmouth, and his offenses werenât deadly.
Jacksonâs behavior infuriated Keira the most.
Keira knew what she was doing; whatever she did, the consequences were always within her expectations.
Swallowing hard, Austin asked, âWhich hospital are you at? Iâll come to see youâŠâ
After Jackson mentioned the name of the hospital, Austin immediately hung up the phone and then looked at Lady Gill furiously. âMom, that Keira is going too far! She completely disregarded the Gill family! I just visited the Freeman Sect today to settle things with her, and now she has beaten Jackson again!â
Upon hearing this, Lady Gill frowned instantly. âJackson has been strutting around Clance all day long. I find it annoying. If heâs been beaten, so be it!â
But Austin bluntly said, âHis balls have been kicked to pieces.â
Lady Gill was shocked. She immediately stood up. âThis isnât some small scuffle anymore! Keira truly has no sense of measure! We, the Gill family, must hold her accountable for this!â
Austin nodded vigorously, âRight, Mom, if we let this slide easily, who knows if she will kick mine to pieces next time?â
Lady Gill didnât know what to say. Seeing her sonâs timid appearance, she curled her lips. âOkay, rest assured, I wonât let her off easily! Even if she is Samâs daughter, what of it? She has to learn a lesson! We canât let her beat people willy-nilly!â
Austin nodded, then grabbed his coat and rushed out, âMom, make sure you talk to Sister properly. Iâm going to see Jackson.â
Austin quickly arrived at the hospital. He went straight to the ward where Jackson was staying. Jackson had already undergone surgery; the doctor said his balls were shattered and beyond repair. Jackson was in despair, had received anesthesia, and wasnât in so much pain now.
When Austin entered, he immediately asked, âSo, have you become a eunuch now?â
A flash of hatred flickered in Jacksonâs eyes. âYes! Austin, I can never do that kind of thing again! You must avenge me!â
Austin felt a chill down his spine and couldnât help asking, âWhat did you do to make her so angry?â
With bitter hatred, Jackson replied, âI just bullied a little girl, and she saw it⊠Austin, tomorrow, you have to take me to the Freeman Sect. I absolutely canât let her go!!â
The last sentence from Jackson was almost a roar. This feud had developed to such an extent that it was now irreparable!
Austin nodded. âDonât worry, my mom has agreed. We will go to the Freeman Sect again tomorrow. My injury can be ignored by the Sect Leader and will heal in a few days, but yours is severe! The Freeman Sect must give the Gill family an explanation!â
Tears escaped from Jacksonâs eyes. âI want her to marry me! To be responsible for the rest of my life! I want to torment her severely on the bed every day!â
Austin frowned at Jacksonâs words. He felt that Jackson had been driven insane by the ordeal.
Just then, a nurse entered, carrying Jacksonâs clothes. âWe changed you into surgery attire right in the operating room. Here are your clothes; Iâll place them hereâŠâ
The nurse set the clothes on the sofa beside them, then turned and left. Austin glanced at the belongings. There were still bloodstains on the trousers, pitiful indeedâŠ
But as his gaze was about to retract, he suddenly spotted a piece of jade⊠moon-shapedâŠ
Austin stiffened suddenly! âIsnât that my sisterâs jade?â
He quickly turned to Jackson, pointing at the jade and asking, âWhere did this come from?!â
