Albert was disappointed that he found a violet talent, but it was only a support class.
But their sect didnât take any other talents except sword-related ones.
So he looked at Rey instead.
"Young man, you have qualified to enter the inner region of the Sword God Sect."
Rey was still in his awakening process. When he heard this sentence, he opened his eyes to see who was the lucky person to get invited by the most powerful sect in the world.
The sound came from very close to him. Maybe Ethan had got that chance? He always admired Ethan for some reason.
But when he opened his eyes, he saw Albert was looking at him with a smile.
Rey became confused for some reason because he still wasnât aware of his talent himself.
Talent was just potential and expertise in a certain field, not some kind of system or anything.
Everyone also opened their eyes.
They were looking toward Rey with envy. Reyâs clothes were dirty and cheap-looking. Anyone could tell he was from the slum.
"Are you talking about me, sir?"
Reyâs voice was shaking.
"Yes, I am. You have the purple talent. You are probably going to become a core disciple."
Albert was also a core disciple, in fact, he was the only disciple of the sect master, but he was hiding his identity outside.
Rey fell on the ground. He was still in utter disbelief.
He, a lowly boy from the slum who didnât even have three meals per day, was going to become the disciple of the strongest sect?
That was a fairy tale for him.
But then he remembered something and looked at Ethan, who was smiling at him.
"Congratulations, Rey. Mother and father will finally have a good time in the future. They wonât have to work so hard anymore."
He also called Reyâs parents father and mother, as Emma, Reyâs mother, fed him milk when he was a child.
But Rey didnât smile. Instead, he looked at Albert.
"What about my brother? Is he also qualified to enter the sect?"
Albertâs smile dimmed a bit and he sighed.
"Unfortunately, no. He does have a talent, and a supreme talent at that, but it is only a support class talent, healing. He is not qualified to enter our Sword God Sect."
Reyâs face darkened instantly.
"You said he has a supreme class talent. What does that mean? Can you help him join another sect in the central continent?" Rey asked desperately.
Albert thought for a moment and looked around.
"Okay, Iâll take him with us and recommend him to a sect there, only if you acknowledge this as a favor and owe the sect for it."
Rey instantly smiled. "I agree."
He didnât even think twice. Ethan was about to stop Rey, but he agreed so quickly that Ethan didnât have time to react.
"Rey, think about it. You have a purple talent. You are bound to become a top-class cultivator in the world. Donât owe anyone for my sake."
He was always the mature one and could think calmly.
Albert was surprised to see how perceptive Ethan was. Alas, he couldnât take him into the sect.
But he had already sent the report to his master about what happened there that day. He wasnât expecting any reply right then, but to his surprise, his master had already replied.
"Bring the boy with the healing talent. There should be no circumstances where you miss the boy. Got that? Even if you lose the Sword Saint talent, donât miss the healing one and donât leave his side. Bring him with you, and donât be rude to him."
Albert was in utter confusion. What was going on? Since the establishment of the sect, they had never accepted anyone without sword talent. But why did his master seem so desperate?
He looked at Ethan. "What is your name, young man?"
"I am Ethan."
He didnât have any last name.
"Ethan, I would like to invite you to join our sect."
This time everyone was surprised. Why was the inner disciple of the strongest sect acting so humble suddenly?
Ethan, however, wasnât very thrilled.
"Sure."
"Huh? Thatâs all? That was all you had to say?" Albert was fuming inside his mind.
But his master asked him not to be rude to this boy.
So he controlled his anger and tried to smile.
After dismissing everyone else, he and the woman followed Ethan and Rey to the slum. They would take them after talking to their guardians.
In the slum.
Lucas was cooking some food. Suddenly his eyes sharpened.
"From the Sword God Sect? What are they doing here?"
Ethan and the others were still two kilometers away from the slum.
Lucas was not a simple man at all. But then his eyes landed on Ethan and Rey. There was still a residual light on their bodies.
Rey had a purple shine around him and Ethan a violet one.
But what no one knew was that the sect master was coming toward their direction with a menacing speed.
"I canât let my plan go to waste after waiting for so many years. I need to bring that boy myself."
He was the sect master of the Sword God Sect and had a purple talent.
But no one knew that he had awakened with an orange talent only. He had been devouring other talented young people to make his talent evolve.
After thousands of years, he finally became a purple talent and then became the sect master of the Sword God Sect, claiming he had reawakened.
But even after devouring millions of blue and green-talented people, he couldnât evolve his talent any further. That was why he started seeking seers to find out where he might find another purple talent.
After finding four or five potential locations from the seer, he sent his disciple as well as some servants to search for them. And as expected, his disciple was his lucky charm. He had brainwashed the poor fellow so much that he believed without another purple talent, their sword would be destroyed in the near future.
Soon Ethan and Rey arrived in the slum with Albert and Hina.
They first came to Ethanâs house.
"Grandpa, we have guests."
"Ethan, Iâll bring my parents here so they can talk to everyone. That way, they wonât have to hassle too much."
Albert nodded. He was happy to see how sincere Rey was.
Soon, Rey had brought his parents there too.
Lucas came forward and started talking to both Albert and Hina.
Emma and her husband were over the moon when they heard the news. They couldnât stop their tears.
But just as they were enjoying those happy moments, Lucas looked in the distance.
"Not good. That monster came here earlier than expected."
Boom!
The house turned into dust. Everyone flew away, including Albert and Hina.
"What the hell just happened?" Albert angrily looked behind to see who dared to attack them there.
Ethan, Rey, Hina, and Reyâs parents all flew far away but were not harmed. A mysterious force protected them.
But when Albert saw the attacker, he couldnât believe his eyes.
"Master, what are you doing here?" he couldnât help but ask.
But his master didnât even look at him.
"Old bastard, youâre hiding here, huh? I came to devour the violet talent but didnât expect to find you here too. It must be my lucky day."
If Ethan had his previous power, he would have known that the man in front of them was a Tier 27 existence, and a top-notch one at that. He was only a step away from awakening his fourth axis.
Even more so, he would have been surprised to see that Lucas had a similar level of power, but his body had many incurable injuries.
"Damn monster. I will not let you succeed."
Lucas was no match for the man with his current condition, but he needed to stop him from devouring Ethan. If he could devour Ethan, he might step into that realm, the realm of myth, the realm of gods.
He took out a stone from his pocket.
"Ethan, take this stone and say âdestiny.â It will take you to your destiny. This mysterious stone has been with me for eons. I hope it will help you find your destiny."
He threw the stone to Ethan and described the situation to him through telepathy.
Ethan was reluctant to do it, but he had no choice. He took Reyâs hand and muttered the word "Destiny."
The sect master roared, "Bastard, what did you give him? Do you think he can escape from my clutch?"
He tried to stop them, but Lucas appeared in front of him and blocked him.
"Your opponent is me."
A blinding light wrapped Ethan and Rey, and they both vanished.
Ethanâs destiny? That was none other than the Origin Dimension itself.
The stone he used was a product of the Origin Dimension, and it had the power to take anyone to their destiny.
Though it shouldnât have worked on Ethan, as his destiny was far above the limit of the stone, his power was sealed. That was why it could teleport him.
