Chapter 1709: Chapter 1710: Walking the Red Carpet Begins
However, five minutes later.
"Bang!" The pen was placed heavily next to the folder.
He stood up, picked up the internal phone, with a firm brow, a cold gaze, and made a call.
...
The Star Celebration has been held for five years now, and since it started, itâs been very popular.
The organizers know how to capture the hearts of young audiences. Although itâs an award ceremony, they love to invite young popular idols as award presenters. In between the awards, they intersperse performances by these popular celebrities and even set up some insignificant awards like popularity awards, allowing the audience to vote for their favorite idols, greatly boosting the enthusiasm of fans.
This year is no exception.
The organizers understand well what the audience wants, not only inviting numerous talented actors but also, as usual, bringing in many popular idols.
For example, Che Chen, Cheng Xueyang, Qin Handan, Mu Zi Band, Gu Ling, Zhong Qingling, Nan Peng... Of course, thereâs also the currently hottest sensation, Zhou Chen!
Ever since Zhou Chen played Lu Hanguang, he captured a large number of fangirls with a single role, causing many fans of other male celebrities to shift their allegiance to him. He himself is outstanding, with a handsome appearance and a roguish personality. Among the prevalent beautiful, gentle male stars, his flamboyant character is the weapon that attracts many fans to scream for him.
Moreover, most of his fans joined because of Lu Hanguang, and many of his own traits are identical to Lu Hanguang. Thereâs no false marketing or persona trap. The more the fans understand him, the more they like him; the more they like him, the more they promote him to those around them.
Plus, "Little Luck" received rave reviews, even though because of Chu Xiâs issues, the film couldnât be broadcast on TV.
Itâs equally popular online.
Many who watched it recommended it to their friends, praising it.
So, even though this series finished airing a long time ago on the AQ platform, many are still willing to purchase memberships to watch it.
The more people watch, the more popular the film becomes.
The stars within the film also shed the title of newcomers to become big celebrities.
This time, Zhou Chen is attending the Star Celebration, and the agency behind him is pulling out all the stops, securing a custom suit early and preparing his look for the red carpet.
As a member of the crew, he and the filmâs lead actress, Jian Yao, walking the red carpet together would be the most eye-catching choice.
However, Zhou Chen unexpectedly refused. The reason was [not wanting to pair up with someone addicted to manipulative publicity], effectively shattering Jian Yaoâs image.
In the past, his agent would worry about Jian Yao possibly retaliating using the backing of her sugar daddy because of Zhou Chenâs direct refusal.
Ever since people in the circle found out that Jian Yaoâs so-called âsugar daddyâ was merely self-promotional hype, everyone has been extremely disgusted with her excessive antics. With no reservations and knowing the lengths Jian Yao and Lemon Entertainment would go for publicity, Zhou Chen straightforwardly refused Jian Yao. She acted as if she didnât even notice, not expressing any discontent.
Though Jian Yao is annoyed, she knows sheâs caused quite a few troubles, even her agent isnât solely focusing on her anymore. Despite her anger, she canât do anything against Zhou Chen and had to leave embarrassed.
...
Tonight, the red carpet is dazzling with starlight.
First, there are the flamboyant little stars leading the way, followed by numerous talented actors walking the red carpet as a group, and later, various celebrity idols make their entrance.
