At that moment, there was a knock on the door. Xie Han quickly composed herself and opened the door.

“Young Master!” Seeing Qin Jun, Xie Han’s face showed a mix of joy and panic.

Joy because Qin Jun was here.

Panic because Qin Jun was here—she feared he would tell her she was no longer needed as his bodyguard.

Qin Jun walked into Xie Han’s room and casually sat on her bed. Though they were master and servant, they were of the same age and had known each other for many years.

He said indifferently, “I’m here to inform you that you won’t be needing to guard me for the next few days.”

“Is that so? What will my new assignment be? Am I to join the military district or guard someone else?” Xie Han fought to hold back her tears and asked, “Am I to move out of here?”

“If that’s the case, I’ll move out tomorrow…”

The young girl’s heart was almost shattered!

Qin Jun frowned and asked, “Move out to where?”

Xie Han lowered her head, her voice tinged with sobs, “Since I’m no longer your bodyguard, I don’t have the right to live here…”

“Who said you aren’t my bodyguard anymore?”

Su Zhenguo looked anxious and nervous, comforting his wife and younger daughter.
