1040 Â A Familiar Place and Person
It was a peaceful night for Amy and White, and Amy was starting to think that maybe she had just been a bit paranoid the day before.
So she did her usual: ate her breakfast, checked her phone for any news and to see her morning message from Gary, and went to kiss her mother before heading out with White.
All three lived in the same apartment, and even Amyâs mother was accepting. It was like she hadnât missed being a mother, now able to care for two girls instead of just one boy and girl.
Things were a lot easier this time as well, considering there were no finances to worry about.
Finally, the two of them were on their way to school, and Amy even had a bit more energy in her step, until White was the one to make a comment.
âThatâs strange,â White said.
âWhat?â Amy asked.
âIt just feels like no one is following us.â
Amy let out a sigh of relief. She had been worried that someone was following them, so hearing that White felt like no one was trailing them made her feel better.
âNo, you donât understand. Tyson is always following us. Like you said, I donât know if heâs doing it because he was asked, or if itâs because he likes you, but heâs not following us now.â
âYou really make him sound like some crazy stalker,â Amy replied. âMaybe heâs taking a day off from his stalking duties.â
âBut heâs never taken a day off before.â
Amy didnât know whether to be impressed that White could notice Tyson was following them or not, but it made her wonderâwhat was the feeling she had?
She had never felt Tysonâs presence before, so why did she think she felt something earlier? Then, just like yesterday, as they took a step forward, a man appeared from the side of the street wearing a hood.
White was quick to act, stepping in front of Amy, but when the man raised his head, it didnât take long for Amy to recognize who it was.
âWait, White, step back... heâs dangerous,â Amy said.
âDonât scream, donât shout, donât make a scene,â Raven quickly said. âIf you do, that pretty boy bodyguard of yours will lose his life.â
From what White had just said earlier, it was obvious who he was talking about. Raven had managed to get hold of Tyson somehow.
Amy was starting to remember this person well. With everything that had happened, it felt like it had all occurred a long time ago. In the past, Amy had a dear friend, a best friend she would do anything with.
Her name was Stacy. Stacy had been going out with Ravenâs brother, Hawk, and had invited them to a small get-together. However, Hawk and his friends werenât exactly the nicest people.
They took narcotics and tried to force themselves on both Amy and Stacy. At the time, it was Gary who had saved them both.
The truth was, Amy didnât really know what happened that day with Hawk, but knowing Garyâs position and what he had become, she had a good guess at the possibilities.
Later, Amy had run into Raven himself, and the two of them had been brought to a coffee shop. They were trapped, and Raven was asking for information.
Of course, Amy wouldnât spill anything. She didnât want to get her brother in trouble, but in the end, it was Stacy, out of fear, who told Raven that the last person to have seen his brother was Gary.
It was these chain of events that caused Raven to search for Gary in a blind lust for revenge. Based on the type of person he was, Amy had no doubt in her mind that he had Tyson as well.
âI want to have a little talk with you both. Why donât we stop by a coffee shop?â Raven said as he turned around with a smile and started to walk ahead.
Amy was getting ready to follow him when White grabbed her wrist.
âYou donât have to go,â White whispered. âWe can contact your brother, and he can sort this out. Itâs too dangerous, and we donât know what he wants. I know you want to help Tyson, but... itâs too risky.â
Amy shook her head.
âI donât want to drag you into this. Right now, he only wants me. White, youâre free to go, and if you want, contact Gary and the others as wellâŠâ
âBut I canât have Tyson hurt because of me, and besides, I have a feeling that Raven wonât hurt me.â
If Raven wanted to hurt Amy, he could have done the same to Tyson already. On top of that, Amy still remembered the last time they had met at a coffee shop.
He had allowed her to leave, and to this day, she never really understood why.
As Amy walked ahead, it didnât take long before she heard footsteps behind her.
âIâm coming too,â White said. âAnd Iâve already contacted your brother... so letâs go into this with confidence. Both of us. Itâs different from before.â
Amy smiled widely. This wasnât like the last time when Stacy had betrayed her trust. She had a new friend by her side, one that wouldnât betray her like the last.
Eventually, as the group continued to walk, they arrived at a small coffee shop, covered in white decorations with a flower pot on every table.
Raven sat by the window, watching the people walk past, and both Amy and White sat on the opposite side.
âThis is just like back then. It looks like weâre back where we started,â Raven said. âWhy donât you remind me what happened that day?â
