Antares let out a strange cry. The more he thought about Lin Moyuâs skill, the more unbelievable it seemed.
If Lin Moyu obtained a Transcendent God-level corpse, he could run rampant through the entire world.
Even if the effect only lasted for 24 hours, that would still be more than enough.
For a Transcendent-God-level powerhouse, 24 hours was plenty of time to accomplish countless feats.
Slaying the Dragon Emperor and the Demon Emperor would be entirely possible.
Were corpses difficult to find?
According to Antares, not at all. The deep layer was filled with them.
Antares muttered, âWith this skill, youâll have a guarantee once you venture into the deep layer.â
Lin Moyu smiled faintly, âThatâs still far away. Iâm only level 80 right now. By then, Iâll be even stronger.â
Once his ordinary skills transformed into soul skills, they could be further enhanced.
Lin Moyu had always been confident in his own power.
Antares shook his head, forcing himself out of his shock, âAlright. Letâs see your third skill.â
Lin Moyu replied, âI think the third one is the most miraculous.â
âIt isnât an offensive skill, but itâs more important than the previous two.â
âIf I had to keep only one out of the three, I would choose this one.â
âI suspect the greater world rune interfered this time specifically to suppress this skill.â
Antaresâs curiosity was piqued, âOh? And what skill is that?â
âInfinite Fusion.â Lin Moyu spoke in a deep voice: âThis skill is called Infinite Fusion.â
He then explained the skill in detail. Antares listened with surprise.
âTry it.â Antares urged.
Lin Moyu nodded. Following the instructions from the skill demonstration, he summoned 100 Skeletal Berserk Warriors, 100 Skeletal Great Mages, and 100 Skeletal Marksmen.
Then he activated the skill: Infinite Fusion.
The three types of skeletons merged together, forming a new summon.
A towering skeleton appeared before Lin Moyu. It held a sword in its right hand and a shield in its left, clad in heavy armor.
Standing nearly five meters tall, it looked more imposing than any skeleton he had previously summoned.
From appearance alone, it was quite different from the skeleton shown in the skill demonstration.
Lin Moyu didnât know that the difference was simply because his level was still too low and the skeletons used in the fusion were too few.
Even so, the fused skeleton was already quite powerful. The aura it emitted far exceeded level 80, likely reaching around level 85.
Lin Moyu couldnât help but wonder whether spending 300 level 80 skeletons to create a single level 85 skeleton was a profit or a loss.
[Skeletal Divine General]
[Level: 85]
[Strength: 2,200,000]
[Agility: 2,200,000]
[Spirit: 2,200,000]
[Physique: 2,200,000]
[Skill: Annihilation Strike]
[Annihilation Strike: unleashes an attack with damage equivalent to 10 times its strength. Cooldown: 1 minute.]
[Skill: Soul Bombardment]
[Soul Bombardment: bombards the targetâs soul. Cooldown: 1 minute.]
The Skeletal Divine General possessed two skills. As a fusion product, it had undergone remarkable transformations and was quite different from the Skeletal King.
The Skeletal King was an independent skill with defined characteristics.
Infinite Fusion, however, allowed endless variations.
For example, Lin Moyu could exclude Skeletal Marksmen and fuse only Skeletal Berserk Warriors with Skeletal Great Mages.
Even if the overall attributes remained similar, the skills would inevitably change.
Different combinations produced different results.
The Skeletal Divine General also received buffs from the Lich General, but even so, it still couldnât break through to level 90.
The 9.99 million attribute cap also restrained it.
Currently, only soul-type skills could surpass the level 90 restriction. Otherwise, Lin Moyu would have to wait until he reached level 90 himself.
Lin Moyu continued experimenting with different combinations.
He fused skeletons with Headless Knights. Headless Knights with Bone Dragons. Bone Dragons with Skeletal Great Mages.
The results varied wildly. Some combinations were so bizarre that Lin Moyu was left speechless.
One particular fusionâbetween Bone Dragons and a Skeletal Great Magesâproduced a Skeletal Great Mage with a Dragon head.
Its attributes were pitiful. In fact, it was weaker than level 70 Skeletal Great Mages.
Infinite Fusion clearly had its highs and lows. The results were unpredictable.
The skill demonstration had only shown a few optimal combinations. The rest would require careful experimentation.
The Skeletal Divine General and the Dragon Knight were both extremely useful.
But the skill that truly captured Lin Moyuâs attention was still the one capable of destroying stars.
That flash of red light⊠it had been absolutely breathtaking.
âThe red light must be Deterioration Curse of.â
âBut what other skills have been fused into it?â
There was no answer, only more attempts.
Following his theory, Lin Moyu kept Deterioration Curse as the core and tried fusing Poison Starburst into it.
He pointed toward the sky. With a hum, the skill was unleashed.
A faint hint of green surged within the red light.
Yet the energy it released was weak, its destructive power clearly lacking.
Antares shook his head, âWhat kind of junk is this? It's pathetic.â
Lin Moyu didn't give up. Next, he attempted to fuse Bone Spear.
This time, he couldn't even cast the skill.
A few sparks burst from his fingertip, shooting barely half a meter before vanishing.
Antares burst into laughter, his massive head slamming against the ground as he wheezed, âHey, do you really have to be this funny?â
Lin Moyu was surprised himself. He hadn't expected such a result.
Using Deterioration Curse as the foundation shouldn't be wrong. So he tried again, this time fusing Soul Blaze.
Amid Antares' laughter, Lin Moyu raised a finger and pointed at him.
With a humming sound, red light flooded the air, and Antaresâs laughter stopped abruptly.
An impact struck his soul. It wasn't painful or irritating, but it was startling nonetheless.
Antares said in a muffled voice, âNow that's a bit interesting. It could probably instantly kill any class user below level 80.â
But instantly killing those below level 80 wasn't the result Lin Moyu wanted.
His ambitions were far greater. This was nowhere near enough.
The experiments continued. Lin Moyu fused skill after skill with Deterioration Curse, yet results remained disappointing.
âIt seems it's not just about combining two skills. It may require multiple skills fused together.â Lin Moyu thought of a possibility.
But every additional skill meant exponentially more experiments.
Still, there was no other path forward. He could only keep trying.
Lin Moyu continued his relentless experiments, gradually slipping into a near-mad state.
Only he knew how ruthless he could be with himself.
Antares watched from the side, bored, observing failure after failure.
"What a lunatic."
In the end, that was the only conclusion Antares reached.
Then he laughed lightly, âBut I'm a lunatic too.â
Only lunatics would dare try resisting a greater world rune.
After all, it represented the most fundamental power of the greater world. Before it, Antares and Lin Moyu were nothing more than ants.
Yet these two ants had not only resisted, they had miraculously won.
Antares felt that was something worth bragging about for 10,000 years.
And if one day they could truly trample on the greater world rune beneath their feet...
Antares drifted into wild fantasies.
Hum!
A burst of red light flashed.
Antares, who had been sleeping soundly, jolted awake and exclaimed in shock, âHow can there be the law of time?â
