Inside the training room, Evan exhaled lightly, and a look of ecstasy in his eyes.
He glanced at his status window, and even he felt dazed for a second.

His stat points had increased significantly over the last thirty days due to the growing amount of law power within his body.
However, compared to the massive improvement in the level of his Void Law Seal, the increase in his stats felt rather insignificant.
In just one month, the level of his Void Law Seal had gone from 0.1% to a staggering 23.14%.
To raise the level of a law seal by that much, most of the Core Evolvers typically needed hundredsâif not thousandsâof years.
"The Rune of Absorption is really terrifying..." Evan muttered with a sigh. But when he thought about what he had used over the past month to reach this point, he felt the improvement wasnât as overwhelming as it seemed.
Not only had he used all the bodies of the Rank Four Core Evolvers he had killed in the Maldrith Kingdom, but he had also used Gustavâs bodyâwho had been a mid-level Rank Five Core Evolver.
In fact, the Rank Four bodies had only raised his Void Law Seal by about six percent. The remaining seventeen percent came from Gustavâs body alone.
He had originally considered saving Gustavâs body so he could turn him into a Shadow Undead after reaching the peak of Rank Four.
A Rank Five Shadow Undead would have been an enormous asset in the upcoming war.
However, in order to convert Gustav into a powerful undead and make him useful, Evan would have had to reach the peak of Rank Four before the war began.
After seeing how little the Rank Four corpses contributed to his law seal progress, he realized that without utilizing Rank Five bodies, reaching that peak in time would be nearly impossible.
The thought of having a Rank Five Shadow Undead was certainly temptingâRank Five Core Evolvers were considered powerhouses across Utopia, second only to the Rank Six.
But Evan was more inclined to increase his own strength directly, as he was certain that reaching the peak of Rank Four himself would be far more beneficial for both him and his allies during the war.
"The level of the Rune of Absorption is still too low..." Evan muttered under his breath.
"If I could use the full power of the Primordial Rune of Absorption, Iâm sure that by absorbing all the law power from those corpses, the level of my Void Law Seal wouldâve reached at least 75%."
He glanced at the small mountain of ashes left behind after the absorption and, with a snap of his fingers, caused a void crack to open and swallow it entirely.
As the ashes vanished, Eclipseâs stunned face came into view.
"I saw everything that happened there through Shadow Senses..." Evan smiled and couldnât help but give Eclipse a thumbs-up. "You really killed it out there."
Eclipse looked embarrassed at Evanâs praise and scratched the back of his head.
Evan shook his head at the reaction and commented,
"You are really brave. Not only did you walk in there with swagger, you even threatened a Rank Five Core Evolver while being only Rank Three yourself."
Evan felt speechless as he recalled the things he had witnessed through his Shadow Senses.
âTheir Transcendent Powers are more impressive than I thought. Before the war begins, I should organize all the Shadow Undeads with Transcendent Powers properly so they can show their full potential during battle.â
As he thought this, Evan used his Shadow Senses to check on his other Shadow Undeads and found Elysia and the others were training with their newly awakened Transcendent Powers.
"Eclipse, go ahead and train with the others. Once youâre all done, report back to me so we can discuss how to utilize your powers in the war."
"Yes, Master," Eclipse replied, nodding, and then left the training room.
Once Eclipse was gone, Evan didnât rush to leave the closed world of Drayds to head to the Dragon Islands.
Instead, he sent a message to Sylvan, asking him to meet him.
After sending the message, he took a step forward and disappeared from the training room.
Hundreds of thousands of kilometers away from his home, Evan emerged from a void riftâbut he didnât stop there and continued to move forward.
Soon, the scenery around him changed; the lush greenery of the closed world of Drayds faded away, replaced by a desolate and barren land.
Evan glanced around at the familiar surroundingsâhe had come here months agoâand soon came to a stop in front of the Essence Stone Mines of the closed world of Drayds. (Chapâ767)
This was the place where the core of the closed worldâor rather, the core of the World Treeâwas located.
