Chu Heng had intended just a light touch, but seeing her reaction, the color deepened in his eyes, and he couldn’t help but pry open her teeth, kissing her a bit forcefully.

The midwife lifted Ye Muyu’s skirts, “The lady’s water has broken, but the cervix is only dilated three fingers…”

Generally, the cervix should dilate first, then the water breaks for a smooth birth.

If the water breaks first and the cervix doesn’t dilate within an hour, the child won’t come out.

Hence, hearing the midwife’s words, Madam Liu’s hands started to shake.

Chu Heng understood the midwife’s implication as well, his lips pressed tight, his complexion turning extremely grim, “How can we ensure a smooth delivery?”

“We need to wait for the cervix to dilate. If it’s still not enough after half an hour, labor-inducing drugs will be necessary,” the midwife hadn’t expected this situation either and was somewhat flustered, stuttering as she spoke.
