The Nine Yang Mystic Art, a cultivation technique passed down to him by his old master, was said to be extremely unique. Furthermore, the Nine Yang True Qi was the utmost rigid and positive energy between heaven and earth, possessing a powerful healing function.
As a stream of Nine Yang True Qi flowed into her body, Ye Luo once again began to apply needles, helping Nie Wenyu to recover.
It wasnât long before Nie Wenyu began to hum softly, her eyelashes trembling as if awaking from her slumber.
After several needles in succession, a hint of hesitation flickered in Ye Luoâs eyes, but he quickly proceeded with the acupuncture, piercing the last needle directly into Nie Wenyuâs temple.
Watching this, Nie Wenling clenched her fists tightly, her expression filled with nervousness as she stared at Ye Luo, internally questioning whether this man was competent enough to take such a bold risk.
One must know that the temple is one of the most important yet fragile acupoints in the human body. Even an ordinary punch to the temple could be fatal, let alone the insertion of a Silver Needleâit was audaciously courageous.
"Itâs done!"
However, Ye Luo quickly withdrew the Silver Needle and exhaled, speaking out.
As soon as Ye Luoâs voice fell, Nie Wenyu, who had her eyes tightly closed, slowly opened them. The listless aura she had before was gradually returning, her originally pallid and sickly complexion now filled with color. Even the atrophied organs inside her began to regain vitality.
"Thank you!"
Upon awakening, the first thing Nie Wenyu did was look at Ye Luo with eyes filled with gratitude.
Though Nie Wenyu had been unconscious, her consciousness was in fact clear. She was aware of everything that had just transpired, including this kind stranger, Ye Luo, treating her illness.
But the thought of having been in only her undergarments in front of a man, allowing him to touch her body, made the normally conservative and pure Nie Wenyu blush with a trace of shyness on her face.
"Sister, youâre finally awake, thank goodness!"
Nie Wenling cried out excitedly, seeing her sister awaken.
Nie Yuntian and others, who were anxiously waiting outside, heard Nie Wenlingâs exclamation and hurried into the room. Seeing Nie Wenyu awake, their expressions were filled with excitement. By now, Nie Wenyu was covered by a blanket.
"My daughter, youâre finally awake!"
Mrs. Nie rushed to the bedside and tightly grasped Nie Wenyuâs hand, speaking with an emotional face.
"Mom, Iâm sorry to have worried you," Nie Wenyu said with a soft voice.
"Itâs truly incredible, she has actually been revived. Young man, you are really amazing. From which eminent master did you learn? To possess such superb medical skills."
Old Master Zhou looked at Ye Luo with admiration and respect.
"I apologize, but the name of my master is not convenient to disclose," Ye Luo said indifferently. He then pointed at the blood-sucking Gu Insect on the ground that was killed by the Silver Needle and spoke, "This is the blood-sucking Gu Insect, and it is now dead."
"So, it genuinely was a Miaojiang Gu Insect!"
Old Master Zhou glanced at the dead blood-sucking Gu Insect, his gaze sharpening as he spoke. Nie Yuntian also looked at the Gu Insect, his brow slightly furrowed.
"Mr. Nie, with this blood-sucking Gu Insect appearing on Miss Nie, itâs feared that a Miaojiang master has placed a curse on her. Have you offended any Miaojiang master?" Old Master Zhou inquired, looking at Nie Yuntian.
"I donât recall offending any Miaojiang master. My status has offended many, perhaps Iâve unintentionally offended some Miaojiang master, which led to my daughter suffering this calamity," Nie Yuntian replied, then turned to Ye Luo and said, "Thank you for saving my daughter."
"Thereâs no need to be so polite; I didnât want such a beautiful woman to just fade awayâthatâd be such a pity."
Ye Luo said with a smile, glancing at Nie Wenyu, whoâs face then turned slightly red, a shy look flickering in her eyes.
"I told you, as long as you saved my daughter, I, Nie Yuntian, would be extremely grateful. Just tell me what you need, and if I can do it, Iâll agree to it."
"Thereâs no need for thatâIâm not someone with many demands. However, having killed this Bloodthirsty Gu Insect means Iâve offended a Miaojiang expert. So, to comfort me a little, how about you give me some of this?"
While speaking, Ye Luo made a gesture that pretty much any native understoodârubbing his thumb and index finger together.
Nie Yuntian first looked startled, and then laughed, "Youâre very honest."
"Here is five hundred thousand, consider it my token of gratitude to you," Nie Yuntian said as he pulled out a gold card and handed it to Ye Luo.
Seeing this guy fork out five hundred thousand just like that, Ye Luo couldnât help but sighârich people indeed have a grand manner. He remembered the trouble he went through just to buy a train ticket in the past, and now he effortlessly got his hands on five hundred thousand. It seemed that being a doctor was quite promising.
Yeah, I should keep working hard, develop the profession of medicine further, and make money until my hands cramp!
The corner of Ye Luoâs mouth curled into a mischievous smile, and then he said, "Then Iâll thank you. If thereâs nothing else, Iâll be leaving now."
"Alright, Xiang Zuo, see the gentleman out. Oh, and sir, I still donât know your name," Nie Yuntian said, looking at Ye Luo.
"Iâm Ye Luo."
Ye Luo answered and walked out; the young man in a suit followed him.
When they reached the first floor of the villa, Xiang Zuo approached Ye Luo and said with a somewhat chilly voice, "Although you saved Wen Yu this time, please remember not to show up here again in the future, nor to entertain any other ideas."
Upon hearing this, Ye Luo stopped and turned to look at Xiang Zuo, retorting, "Is there a problem with your brain?"
"You..."
Xiang Zuoâs face darkened, his eyes glaring at Ye Luo with anger.
"Otherwise, how could you say something so idiotic? It seems youâre not from the Nie Family. Youâre just an adopted son, so what I think or do has nothing to do with you."
Ye Luo said bluntly and then walked straight out.
Xiang Zuoâs face filled with a dark look, his eyes flickering with a cold sharpness, his fists clenched tightly.
"Wait a moment!"
Just as Ye Luo had stepped out of the villa, the voice of Nie Wenling came from behind. Ye Lu turned to see her running up to him, holding a silver smartphone in her hand.
Here, take thisâthe latest Apple smartphone. It has a SIM card inside, itâs brand new, and I havenât used it. Take it. My phone number is saved in it, so itâll be easy to contact you later."
Nie Wenling handed the latest Apple smartphone to Ye Luo as she spoke.
"This doesnât seem quite right," Ye Luo said, hesitantly.
"Whatâs the problem? If you donât have a phone, how will I contact you? Donât forget, you still have to accompany me to a car race tomorrow night," Nie Wenling said, pouting at Ye Luo.
