Zhonghai, inside Situ Luoyunâs villa.
Situ Luoyun stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, wearing a red silk nightgown, gazing at the moonlight outside while swirling a glass of red wine in her hand, her Phoenix eyes sparkling with allure.
"Miss, you called for me."
A figure abruptly appeared behind Situ Luoyun, clad in a tight black outfit, her face exquisite yet exuding an intense indifference and an icy chill.
"Leng Yue, go to Jinling for me and do something. If this person is in danger, intervene and help him," said Situ Luoyun as she tossed a photograph to the woman behind her, who caught it to see that it was Ye Luo.
"Yes, Miss," the woman called Leng Yue responded, then her figure mysteriously vanished from the room once again.
"Little man, Iâm still waiting for you to conquer me." Situ Luoyun sipped her red wine, her tongue moistening her lips with a seductive gesture that was captivating.
In another villa in Zhonghai, Tagawa Ichiro lounged comfortably on a sofa, enjoying the service of a scantily clad woman kneeling before him, moving rhythmically, while he wore an expression of pleasure.
At that moment, a man walked in briskly and respectfully reported, "Young Master, we just received word that the target has left Zhonghai and is headed for Jinling."
"Jinling?" Tagawa Ichiroâs eyes snapped open with a glint of coldness, and with a sneer, he ordered, "Heaven is really helping me. Notify the team and make sure he dies in Jinling without leaving any trace."
"Yes, Young Master," the man nodded and hurriedly left the room.
"Ah!" Then Tagawa Ichiro roared angrily, his hand firmly pressing the womanâs head down, preventing her from getting up as his body trembled violently.
"Cough, cough..." The woman began to cough violently soon after.
Meanwhile, in a secluded room in Zhonghai, Mingyue was reviewing a document when she suddenly received a phone call.
"He went to Jinling?" Mingyue appeared startled and instructed, "Find out the reason immediately."
"What is this guy planning to do now?" Mingyue murmured to herself.
...
Three hours later, Ye Luo finally arrived in Jinling. However, just as he entered the toll station at the Jinling expressway, a group of police officers suddenly rushed out, weapons drawn, surrounding his car.
"Get out of the car," demanded a middle-aged man in a police uniform, standing in front of the vehicle with a cold tone.
Ye Luo, sitting inside the car, frowned slightly and revealed a wry smile before opening the door and stepping out.
Several police officers, weapons in hand, rushed up to him, their eyes vigilant.
"Take him down!"
The middle-aged officer in uniform barked the order, and the police moved to handcuff Ye Luo, who did not resist.
And so, just as Ye Luo set foot in Jinling, he was taken into custody by the Jinling police.
At the Jinling Police Department, Ye Luo was brought into an interrogation room and handcuffed to the chair, while the officers watched him with utmost vigilance.
That same commanding middle-aged officer entered the room, his gaze coldly fixed on Ye Luo as he stated, "Youâre Ye Luo, correct?"
"I am Ye Luo, may I know what crime Iâm accused of?" Ye Luo asked calmly.
"Ye Luo, you are suspected of murder, and we are formally arresting you," the middle-aged officer declared.
"Murder? I wonder whom Iâm accused of killing?" Ye Luo replied with a mocking smile.
"You killed Jinlingâs Wu Family head, Wu Yingxiong, and the evidence is irrefutable. Donât think you can deny it."
A hint of a cold smile curled up at the corner of Ye Luoâs mouth as he said, "Go call your chief here."
"Hmph, you think a murderer like you deserves to see our chief? Sorry, but our chief is busy," the middle-aged policeman said with a disdainful look in his eyes. "Give him a taste of what we can do first."
Then, two policemen showed a sneaky smile, holding two electric batons in their hands. They turned them on, sparks flashing and crackling with electricity.
Watching the two men, a hint of coldness flashed in Ye Luoâs eyes. The two men struck Ye Luo with the electric batons, high-voltage currents coursing through his body, yet his expression didnât change at all.
Suddenly, the expressions of the two policemen and the middle-aged one changed, showing shocked faces.
"Your methods wonât work on him."
A cold voice suddenly rose, and a figure slowly walked into the interrogation room from outside.
"Poisonous Scorpion!"
At the sound of that voice, Ye Luo spoke with a cold and piercing tone; it was clearly Poisonous Scorpion. The manâs face was grim, dressed in black, his left arm only half-intact, obviously crippled, and his eyes were ferocious as they stared at Ye Luo.
"Where is Yan Ling?"
"Looks like you really are a lovesick fool, daring to come to Jinling for a woman. But this time youâre here, donât even think about leaving."
Poisonous Scorpion sneered.
Bang!
All of a sudden, the interrogation room where Ye Luo sat shattered, the handcuffs in his hands broke apart, and he stood up.
In an instant, the policemenâs expressions changed, and they quickly drew their guns on Ye Luo.
"What are you doing?" the middle-aged policeman held his gun at Ye Luo and sternly shouted.
Whoosh!
A gust of wind flashed by, and Ye Luoâs figure vanished from the spot. The next second, he appeared in front of Poisonous Scorpion, lifting the man up and slamming him against the wall.
Poisonous Scorpion let out a muffled grunt, blood spilling from his mouth, his neck tightly gripped by Ye Luo. His face turned red, his strength unable to manifest, and he looked at Ye Luo with a terrified expression.
"Donât move, let him go now, or we will shoot."
At this moment, the policemenâs hearts were pounding, foreheads sweated with cold beads as they looked at Ye Luo, who in their eyes had become extremely terrifying. Facing him, they felt insecure even with guns in their hands.
"Go call your chief here, right now, immediately!"
Ye Luoâs voice, cold as ice, reached every personâs ears, making them feel as if they had fallen into an ice cellar, their hands holding the guns trembling.
The middle-aged policemanâs face went through several changes, then he quickly left the interrogation room. In less than a few minutes, a potbellied man wearing a police uniform, his features exuding authority, walked in. Seeing the scene before him, his face became stern.
"Good day, I am Jin Quan, the chief of the Jinling Police Department," the man said to Ye Luo with a weighty expression.
Ye Luo, holding Poisonous Scorpion, threw the manâs body to the ground. The latter trembled, and Ye Luoâs gaze turned to Jin Quan as he reached into his bosom.
"Donât move!" The middle-aged policeman, standing by Jin Quan, raised his gun and yelled at Ye Luo, his expression tense.
"Are you that scared?" Ye Luo scoffed, pulling out an identification booklet from the Security Bureau and threw it to Jin Quan.
