"No, it canât be like this!"
Xue Na hurriedly spoke, surprising everyone. They hadnât expected Jack to be so ruthless; however, it seemed that this Huaxia man had thoroughly enraged Jack.
After all, as the young master of the prestigious Cross Family in Y Country, he had never been so humiliated before, so his reaction was quite normal.
"Fine, I accept!"
To everyoneâs surprise, Ye Luo actually agreed. Was he not afraid of death? If he lost, he would end up chopped up and fed to the sharks.
"Mr. Ye, you..." Xue Na appeared quite solemn as she looked at Ye Luo, her pretty face showing a touch of concern.
"Princess, donât worry about me, Iâll be fine," Ye Luo said with full confidence.
"But kid, this time itâs not me youâre gambling with, but someone else," Jack suddenly said.
"Whatever," Ye Luo carelessly uttered two words, appearing quite nonchalant.
Jackâs eyes flashed with a cold glint, and he said something to a subordinate beside him. The subordinate quickly made his way to a room inside the gambling hall.
Soon, the subordinate came out with a man, who was lean with blue hair, eagle-sharp eyes, long hands covered in calluses.
"Itâs the Gambling King Peter!"
On seeing the man with blue hair, everyone exclaimed in shock.
"Jack, how can you do this, to have Peter gamble in your stead!" Xue Na said angrily, showing her displeasure.
"The little guy agreed to it himself. Isnât he very impressive? Is he scared now that heâs facing the Gambling King?" Jack said with a sneer.
"Mr. Ye, donât gamble with him. This Peter is a very famous Gambling King in Y Country, especially skilled with dice, having participated in hundreds of gambling competitions without a single loss."
"Even masters of gambling arenât his match, you mustnât gamble with him, youâll definitely lose," Xue Na said, looking at Ye Luo with a worried expression.
It was evident that Xue Na genuinely worried for this man she had just met, showing the kindness in the heart of the recently matured Princess.
Ye Luo, however, wasnât perturbed and, touching his nose, smiled and said, "Actually, I am quite impressive too."
"Oh, really?" Xue Na looked at Ye Luo curiously, while the people around started to speculate that this man might be a hidden master of gambling.
"I recently took on a group of middle schoolers and won all their New Yearâs money. Am I impressive or what?" Ye Luo said with a devilish grin.
Immediately, everyone, including Xue Na, felt as if they had been struck by lightning. This guy really had a knack for jokes.
"This is the guy, Peter. Show no mercy," Jack said, pointing at Ye Luo as he spoke to Peter.
"Yes, young master," Peter respectfully nodded to Jack, and with eyes sharp as a hawk, turned to Ye Luo and said coldly, "Kid, Iâve heard youâre not bad at rolling dice. Today weâll play with a different rule."
"What kind of rule?" Ye Luo asked with a smile.
"Weâll guess each otherâs dice numbers," Peter said coldly.
"What? Guess the numbers?"
When the people in the gambling hall heard Peterâs words, they were all shocked. Guessing the numbers was much harder than simply comparing them; it required listening and was impossible without long-term training.
Everyone knew that Peterâs ears were extraordinarily gifted. He could hear any faint sound within ten meters, and he had never made a mistake when listening for dice numbers. It seemed he was pulling out his trump card. Now Ye Luo was really done for.
However, they didnât know that when Ye Luo heard Peterâs proposal, he almost burst out laughing. Damn, to think theyâd compete in that; it was like a man with a death wish eating arsenic, purely seeking his own demise.
"Brother hereâs got a pair of eyes that can see through everything, one glance and I can tell, no need for guessing," Ye Luo felt like an adult bullying a child, it was just too unfair, but brother likes this feeling!
Ye Luo chuckled, making everyone think the guy must be an idiot, to still be able to laugh in such a situation, about to be shark food, really was incomparable!
However, Peter and the others present clearly had no idea about Ye Luoâs magical Clairvoyant Eye, otherwise, they would definitely not think this way.
"Alright, letâs start, one round to decide the win or loss, no need to waste time," Ye Luo stated directly.
"Kid, looks like you want to be chopped up and fed to the fish right away, Peter, letâs oblige him, start," Jack revealed a cold smile, his eyes glittering with a chill as he stared at Ye Luo.
"Start!"
Peter said one word, then grabbed the dice cup and shook it violently in all directions, making only a clinking noise that made it impossible for the average person to guess the number of the dice inside.
Bang!
After just ten seconds, Peter put the dice cup back on the table with a dull sound and said to Ye Luo, "Kid, your turn."
Ye Luo smiled mysteriously, put all the dice into the cup, then shaked it once on the table and stopped.
"Is that it?"
Peterâs face changed, his gaze fixed on Ye Luo.
"Yeah, thatâs it," Ye Luo nodded.
"Damn, whatâs this kid doing, has he given up on himself, just like that itâs over?" The people present were all shocked by Ye Luoâs move.
However, Peterâs brows were tightly furrowed, his expression somewhat grave.
"How about it? My Gambling King master, Iâve heard you have good ears, have you figured out the number?" Ye Luo looked at Peter with a smile on his face.
"Peter, how is it?" Jack looked at Peter, his expression a mix of nervousness and anticipation.
"Six!"
After a moment of silence, Peter finally turned his gaze towards Ye Luoâs dice cup and uttered two words, instantly drawing everyoneâs eyes to Ye Luoâs dice, their hearts lifted in suspense.
Xue Naâs big eyes were also unblinkingly fixed on Ye Luoâs dice cup.
"Watch closely," Ye Luo said as he uncovered the dice cup.
"Hahaha!! Indeed six, indeed six!"
Time stood still for a few seconds, then Jack suddenly erupted in an extremely excited laugh, his face filled with exhilaration, as the crowd around bore expressions of amazement.
"Worthy of the Gambling King! Truly impressive!"
"Now this guy is done for, going to be eaten by sharks until thereâs nothing left."
The crowd jeered at him.
At this moment on the table, after Ye Luo removed the dice cup, the six dice inside were all facing one dot up, which was indeed six points, it looked like Peter the Gambling King had won, and the outcome seemed to be decided.
"Hey, did you all see clearly?" Suddenly, Ye Luo drawled out a sentence.
"Kid, what do you mean? Are you blind or something, isnât this exactly six..."
