His gaze swept across the ten Chief Gods before he subsequently looked at the Life Dominus. His voice was hoarse and sharp as he said, “Is Disaryl not here yet?”

“He’s not there?”

The Life Dominus nodded slightly. Then, the puzzled Life Dominus asked, “Why did you come by yourself, Hadas? Where are the ten Chief Gods under your command?”

“Them? They’re all dead,” replied the Death Dominus emotionlessly.

“They’re dead?”

Huge jolts went through the Life Dominus and the ten Chief Gods. Looks of incredulity filled their eyes.

“What did you say, Hadas? The ten Chief Gods under your command are dead? How can that be? How did they die? It can’t be that Meng Lei has killed them?”

“No, Meng Lei didn’t kill them.” The Death Dominus shook his head. “I did!”

“Y-you killed them?”

The Life Dominus and the ten Chief Gods’ expressions changed drastically. The Life Dominus shouted fiercely, “Why did you do that, Hadas?!”

“If they didn’t die, then I would have to!”
