Chapter 680: Making a Decision [Bonus]
Kent stood before the imposing gate with a smirk on his face.
âDid I just get fucked over by my own incarnationâŠâ Obviously, the answer was obvious. Chaos had indeed played a good sport on him, and the outcome was Kent cursing himself.
Which was ironic, considering he never truly expected anything different. He would have done the same thing if he were in Chaosâ placeâŠ
âBut waitâŠChaos and I are the same personâŠso it means I wasnt in my place and I choose to fuck up the peaceful life of my future selfâ Kent smiled weakilyâŠ
âWas I this crazy in all my incarnationsâŠâ He shuddered thinking about it.

Kent sighed, and then a smile appeared on his face. âLooks like I am not destined to learn this technique today.â
He indeed could not learn the technique. The reason was that the last few words Chaos left him. It appeared that before he could break the chain, he had to learn a different type of aura called [Blood Aura] and then merge it with the Chaos Claw Aura.
Kent had already awakened the Chaos Claw Aura, so he was left with the Blood Aura. However, judging from what Chaos left him, he was fucked either way.
Not that he expected anything different from someone like Chaos, but he never expected his incarnation to be this unruly.
âThis can only mean one thing: this place is a physical space, and so what Chaos wrote here is still here waiting for me as if he knew he would one day come back here.â Kent sighed and then started flying up.
âBefore I make a decision, I must at least know what happened to him. Thankfully, Chaos had time to document his journey from the day he arrived in front of this door.â
It took Kent a few minutes, but he managed to locate the first day of Chaosâs arrivalâŠ
âŠDay 1: So I am officially in the realm of Chaos and Blood. The name is a little on the nose, but I had to get things moving, so accept what you got.
The Blood Sea was a headache, but I managed to get to the door in one piece. Now I just have to shatter this damn chain and I will be out of here.

âIt is official⊠I was an idiot, a sadistic, manipulative, evil person in my first life. I mean, what kind of idiot was I to think now is the best time to joke about the name I will go by in my future life?â Kent looked at the writing for a few more seconds, and a sigh escaped his lips.
âI guess I knew I would be coming here one day, so I left myself a couple of messages, if only the messages were more important.â A smile appeared on Kentâs lips as he shifted to the second dayâŠ
âŠDay 2: So it turns out that if you donât want every bone in your body to shatter, never attempt to break the chain⊠I learned it the hard way.
Also, the healing process is significantly slower here, so you might want to avoid getting injured. Then again, you can try and see if you are luckier than I.â§
âNo, thank you⊠I trust myself well enough not to attempt this disastrous enterprise,â Kent smiled and then looked toward the rest of the writings for day 2.
Secretly, though, he was happy Chaos suffered when he tried to break the chainâŠ
âŠI need to think of a way out. Although I can probably stay here for a few more months, I need to resolve this issue soon, and the only way to do that is to find a solution.
The first thought that came to mind was using a martial technique, but then I found out I donât have a martial technique. But even if I do, I donât think it would have worked.
So the only way now is to strengthen my fist, and perhaps that will help me break this damn chain. I have a few ideas, and one is to train my Chaos Claw Aura. I know it is a long shot, but that will do.â§

This means that within this realm, the memory cannot be extracted using a memory key. Kent had already lived past this point of Chaosâs memories, but he had never seen these portions of his memories.
So this is a new experience for him.
The only downside here is that he would have to do everything by himself instead of inheriting it from Chaos. It doesnât sound too bad⊠âHowever, I donât have time to get into things now. So I have to go back and come later,â Kent sighed.
He looked around the door and saw more writings.
If he were to get into it now, things would become much more immersive, and he might remain there for years.
Thankfully, there was something he noticed about the tower: whenever he entered a strange state, time seemed to continue running based on the towerâs time, so there was at least a silver lining.
It means months passed, but on the outside, it was a few daysâŠBut he canât afford to stay here for longâŠ
He flew down and landed softly on the ground.
âI will come back, and perhaps next time, I will learn more about this Maw of the Abyss. The name sounds ominous, and so I have no doubt it will be a harrowing adversary.â Kent sat down and then willed himself to leave the space he was inâŠ
The next second, he opened his eyes inside the tower. However, the moment he did, his Chaos Claw Aura surged, becoming much stronger than before.
It felt like just remaining in the Realm of Blood and Chaos was not entirely wasted. His Chaos Claw has become more powerfulâŠ
He didnât use it during his spar with Kaizo, and it was probably for the best. Kaizo would have died if he used itâŠ
âIâd better get my affairs in order and get back there fast. Perhaps next time, I will be walking out with something good.â
Kent checked with the tower and realized he had been away for two and a half months. âThis means the dungeon has finished upgrading.â
Kent quickly checked the messages he had received and located the one meant for the dungeonâŠ
