Chapter 683: The Dragon Necromancerâs Revenge (1)
(Ancient Battlefield of Parting â Outer Section)
Slash
Yi Lai slashed her sword downward, beheading a red-fur demon tiger. Beside her, Nethar, her red undead dragon, who was in his humanoid form, sprayed fire from his mouth, burning yet another red-fur demon tiger.
A couple of meters away, Veera had also beheaded another tiger. Looking around, dozens of tigers lay dead, their bodies separated from their headsâsome turned to charred remains, showing Nethar was the cause of their death.
When Yi Lai left the tower to get her revenge on the Oracles, she didnât immediately head there. Instead, she took a detour to the ancient Battlefield of Parting, specifically the domain of the Red Fur Demon Tigers.
The moment they arrived, they were attacked, and thus, for the past few minutes, they had been killing like crazy.
Veera yet again beheaded a tigerâthis one had already refined its core three times, showing it was already a powerful one. They were meant to be powerful, but to someone like Veera, they were just weaklings.
She looked toward Yi Lai, who was equally beheading the tigers like it was the most normal thing to do. Veera shook her head and said to Yi Lai,
âAgain, why are we doing this? I donât suppose this is just a kink of yours⊠and poor me was dragged in.â
Yi Lai, who heard Veeraâs question, smirked. However, Veera wasnât done. âYou are not exactly the type to raise tigers from the dead, and I know you donât have an appetite for these weaklings⊠not even Nethar will fancy their meat.
I know I donât want them in my Undead Army, too⊠so why are we killing them?â
Yi Lai stopped and blasted three tigers away using her black lightning. She looked at Veera curiously and sighed. âI guess I wanted revenge so bad that I couldnât let these idiots go.
Donât tell the others⊠I know they will tease me for sure, but when I first arrived in the Ancient Battelfield of Partimg, the Red Fur Demon Tigers ambushed me, and if not for a life-saving treasure, I would have diedâŠor something even worse would have happened to me.â
Yi Lai paused and unleashed a powerful attack that cleaved through the body of a tiger, sending both halves of its body tumbling down.
She pointed her finger at another tiger, and a streak of lightning shot out, drawing holes in its head.
ââŠThey were too strong back then⊠and so, for the hundreds of years I spent here, I tried to get my revenge⊠but I couldnât because of the Tiger King.
He had long formed his core and refined it seven times, making him one of the most dangerous beasts in the outer section of this vast battlefield.
Now I have the strength, and I want to kill him⊠Just see it as me coming for a long-overdue revenge, just like I will get one on the Oracles and then eventually, The Hand.â
Veera studied Yi Lai for a few seconds before a smile appeared on her lips. âI understand. I know that revenge is a complex concept, regardless of how people perceive itâŠ
And donât worry, I wonât say a word to our brothers and sistersâŠâ
âYes, you would⊠I can already tellâyou told them⊠because Kaizo told me.â Yi Lai smiled weakly and resumed her battle.
âThat muscle-headed bruteâŠâ Veera cursed and then continued killing more tigers.
A few minutes later, a terrifying pressure descended on the battlefield, causing Yi Lai, Nethar, and Veera to halt their attacks and look toward the new arrival.
It was a human with a muscular body, red hair, and a tigerâs set of eyes. He had gloves with sharp claws, and considering his body density, it wouldnât be surprising if his strength far surpassed Yi Laiâs.
âYou come again, Lady Hunter⊠I see you brought some friends,â the red-haired human said, turning toward Veera and showing his sharp tiger teeth.
âI am King Tyron, but you can call me Tiger King if you want, my ladyâŠâ The lust in his eyes was dripping, and Veera could see it.
Yi Lai, who saw Tyron casting lustful eyes on Veera, tightened her grip on her sword and pointed it at him. âYou will die today, Tyron⊠so be prepared.â
Tyron smiled. âYou are always too bitter, Hunter⊠All I wanted was for you to become my queen, but you ran. No need to be bitter about thatââ
Tyron laughed sadistically and then turned toward Veera. However, before he could say something, Veera raised her slender, tattooed hand and gave him the middle finger.
The tattoo of a bone drawn on her finger glowed purple, and ten Core formation undead swordsmen appeared behind her. Tyronâs smile vanished.
Veera turned to Yi Lai and smiled. âBe sure to make him bleed.â
With that, she and her undead swordsmen started killing the weaker tigers while Yi Lai looked toward Tyron. However, she didnât immediately attack; instead, she put away her sword and channeled her black lightning into a gauntlet.
She wouldnât feel good if she easily killed the bastard, so it would be done gradually and painfully, as Veera advised.
âShould I back you up, master?â Nether asked, but Yi Lai shook her head.
âI alone will be enough to handle this skirt chaserââ With that, she vanished and appeared before King Tyron, planting her fist in his face.
The punch was enough to shatter stones and bend metal, so it wasnât surprising when King Tyron heard his jaw crack.
Nethar looked at her master and shook his head. âMaster clearly has some anger issues against men. Iâd better warn the guys inside the tower not to come close or have any ideas unless they want to become undead like me.â
With that, the undead dragon formed a sword from his red flames and started dispatching the weaker tigers.
Veera and her team moved through the battlefield, killing as they advanced. The tigers were no match for them at all. It even felt like bullying, but earning a few tower points for their master wasnât too badâŠ
And perhaps a few soul essences to fuel his asteroid project.
