Kent held the dagger between his middle and index fingers, a smug expression painting his face.
Under normal circumstances, for his safety, he was supposed to remove the ladyâs space ring and return it when she was awake, ensuring she posed no threat to him.
However, Kent is no simple person.
Especially after how strong he had become over the past five days, he wasnât about to fear a Spirit Lord.
"Maybe you should put on some clothes before trying to stab your saviour in the back," Kent said with a smile.
The lady, though surprised that Kent managed to catch her dagger so effortlessly, turned and looked down at her body, hearing Kentâs words.
When she saw that she was completely bare before Kent, she let go of the dagger and immediately covered her chest with her right hand and her nether spot with her left.
"You-"
She tried to speak, but looking at the smug smile on Kentâs face, her heart skipped a beat. She quickly checked her body but saw no harm had come to her.
Her worry was lowered by a few percentage points
Kent stood up and stretched. "I will be waiting for you on the outside." He walked away, a chuckle playing on his lips.
When she made sure Kent was truly out of the cave, the lady sighed.
However, it quickly hit her.
"I am completely healed. Both on the inside and outside."
She looked at her body closely this time, then her eyes narrowed.
"How?" she asked, but then Kentâs image appeared in her mind. "Donât tell me he was the one who healed me."
Her mind flashed back to her last moment during the battle against the four beasts with her team.
"I should have died," she muttered. "That impact from the explosion should have killed me. However, not only am I completely healed, even my body has also become much stronger than before."
"Just what has that person given me that manages to not only save me but also helps me become much stronger?"
She looked toward the entrance of the cave that Kent had gone through. She sighed in regret, knowing if this person was indeed her saviour, then trying to kill him was a grave offence.
Just the thought compelled her to dress up and go check if she could salvage the situation.
Meanwhile, Kent stood 3 meters away from the cave, feeling the warm air blow past his face. A smile appeared on his face.
"After 5 days, I have formed 8500 flame veins before the flame essence in this place had thinned down. Now, I can barely even feel the heat."
Kent extended his hand and manifested a ball of golden flames.
"Although my comprehension and resistance to the flame are still at the Super stage, I can tell how strong my body has become. With these developments, I can enter the inner region without even using my Soul Flame."
Kent looked out into the distance, and as it stretched forward, he could literally see the horror waiting for him.
"Though dangerous, I need to form at least 20,000 flame veins and form a flame core. Agni told me that having powerful flame cores is the first step to becoming Lord of Flames" Kent scratched the back of his head...
"I donât have much time to hunt for enough flame cores. Although I have become stronger yet again, I know my limits, and I recognise danger when I see one.
This place is dangerous, so I canât go rogue like I did in the Valley of Torture."
However, while Kent said this, a crazy look appeared in his eyes... "Then again, if I were to refine the blood essence of all the beasts I kill, wouldnât that make me much stronger?
I have only cultivated 7% of the Primal Body Tempering Art. However, while I can extract the blood essence to cultivate it, I donât know if focusing on that or focusing on the Blood Life and Death Seals."
Kent scratched his head, feeling awkward.
"Most look for ways to become stronger; however, here I am struggling to select which technique to focus on."
A laugh escaped his lips.
"But on the bright side, the seals are strong, and after the end of this quest, I will earn one each.
However, the Primal Body Tempering Art promises not only to improve my bloodline but also to allow me to harness more of my bloodline.
Perhaps focusing on that is ideal. I will use the time I have after forming at least 20,000 flame veins to hunt and gather as many cores and blood essence as I can.
Once I leave here, I must complete the quest and come back to spend the rest of my days here before going back to the future."
Just when Kent was making plans in his head, the lady walked out, now clad in a cloak-like armour. She narrowed her eyes at Kent when she saw him looking at her.
"I am Commander Agnes. I would like to thank you for saving me," she said with a slight bow.
Kent smiled, "Donât worry about it, Commander Agnes. Saving beauties from going splat on the ground is one of my many hobbies.
And you can call me Chaos."
"Chaos?" The lady asked, her brow furrowed.
"What? Is it not a good name?" Kent frowned slightly. Of course, he was just faking the frown to see her reaction.
As expected, Commander Agnes panicked. "No. It is not what you think at all. Chaos is a nice name. It is just that this is my first time meeting someone named Chaos."
She put on a small smile to tell Kent she meant no disrespect. "It is an unusual name, thatâs all."
"Well. It is my name and I like it, so whatever." Kent smirked, "In any case, I was only waiting for you to wake up so I could leave. Now that you are awake, we must part here."
Kent turned around, "Good luck and may fortune smile on you."
"Wait," Commander Agnes called out just when Kent was about to leave. He stopped and turned toward her.
"Please, aside from me, have you seen somebody else?" she asked.
"No. Just you."
"Then can you tell me how long I have been out?"
"Five days."
"Five days." A dark expression appeared on her face. "Even if they survive, they wouldnât be able to survive this torturous place."
Commander Agnes muttered and took a deep sigh. "Thank you for everything, Chaos. In the future, if you need anything, you can find me on Planet Nictus. I will do my best to help you."
"I will keep that in mind." Kent turned and started to walk away. After a few steps, he stopped and turned to the lady...
"From the way you spoke, I have a feeling you are someone very important. So, although it is none of my business, for everyoneâs sake, please return home and never come back here ever again.
I donât know why you came here, but like I said, it is none of my business. However, take my advice and leave before it is too late."
After saying that, Kent hastened his steps. As the distance between them widened, the gaze locked on him by Commander Agnes only seemed to intensify.
"It doesnât matter anyway," Commander Agnes muttered. "Even if I return, so what. General Brinna needs the Soul Flame Fruit, so even if it is impossible, I must get it. I must try my-"
Before Commander Agnes could complete her sentence, Kent appeared before her with a smug smile,
"Uhm, I couldnât help but overhear you say something in the lines of Soul Flame Fruit."
