Chapter 2084: Chapter 216: I Want to Meet Wang Shouzhe (Part 2)

Once the battlefield was cleaned up, numerous spoils of war were collected. Many Demonic Clan armors and weapons could be exchanged for military merits upon return. Additionally, several dozen blood eagles were captured, as well as a luxurious flying carriage of the Blood Eagle Lord and two Level Seven blood eagles. The latter was thanks to the Void Realm puppet, Patriarch Ding Hu, who slain the Blood Eagle Lord and then captured the Level Seven blood eagles.

These are specialties of the Blood Eagle Territory, and the domesticated blood eagles fetch a high price among the Demonic Clans, especially Level Seven blood eagles, which often command astronomical figures.

This wave of war spoils is certainly a profitable gain for the Seventh Battle Group.

The only headache is the capture of several hundred Demonic Clan captives. Yan Hongtian quietly pulled Wang Ying Xuan aside and whispered, “Boss, isn’t it troublesome to take this batch of captives along for the next mission?”

“In the past, how did our Seventh Battle Group handle captives?” Wang Ying Xuan asked with a furrowed brow.

Yan Hongtian wore an embarrassed smile, “Not just the Seventh Battle Group, even the Eastern Line Defense Zone Army rarely captures so many living Demonic Clan captives at once. Usually, they are used in exchange for our own captured race members or sent to work as laborers, like in mining.”

“Exchanging them is rather profitable, as each Demonic Clan lord is willing to trade Human race captives for some strong and healthy Demonic Clan members.”

“However, this time, taking so many captives presents a logistical challenge. But letting them go freely seems regrettable. Wouldn’t it be easier to quietly eliminate them all and avoid the hassle?”

When mentioning eliminating them all, Yan Hongtian clearly showed a look of reluctance.

If they could take this batch of captives back, they could earn a lot of military merits. Every defense zone needs Demonic Clan captives in exchange for Human race captives; these are indeed in high demand.

“Miss Yuxuan,” JunDance suggested, “if there’s no way to handle the captives, why not consider assimilating them?”

“Assimilating?” Wang Ying Xuan’s eyes sparkled momentarily, before turning to Yan Hongtian and asking, “Hongtian, is there any case of assimilating demonic soldiers?”

Yan Hongtian’s expression changed promptly, urgently advising, “Yuxuan boss, please do not play with fire. These Demonic Clans are fierce and defiant, and deep down they worship the various Demonic Gods. It’s absolutely impossible for them to truly submit to us Humans. Even if they pretend to submit under threat of life, they betray at critical moments; such historical cases abound, and no one has attempted it for thousands of years.”

“Furthermore, the Demonic Clans and us Humans have a deep blood feud; many comrades have died at the hands of the Demonic Clans. Assimilating demonic soldiers will cause controversy and disgust.”

“Jundance, what do you think?” Wang Ying Xuan was still somewhat tempted.

“Assimilating demonic soldiers is certainly not an easy task, but with me, JunDance, it may not be impossible,” JunDance replied, slightly excited. “Our War Codex’s biggest feature is serving the war. With victory after victory, it’s easier to build a military spirit, and the rational distribution of war energy can significantly increase soldiers’ loyalty.”

“As long as you treat demonic soldiers reasonably and not just use them as tools, I believe under the influence of the military spirit, demonic soldiers could develop strong beliefs.”

“In that case, let me try assimilating demonic soldiers,” Wang Ying Xuan eagerly declared. “When I was a child, I loved hearing my grandfather tell the fictional stories of the Three Kingdoms, where heroes assimilated different tribes for their use.”

“Moreover, my grandfather also said that one should have a long-term vision and perspective. If we can truly assimilate demonic soldiers, wouldn’t it be beneficial to the entire war against demons?”

Yan Hongtian hurriedly advised, “Yuxuan boss, you must think carefully about this; if something goes wrong, it can’t be undone.”

“My mind is made up,” Wang Ying Xuan stated firmly. “If anything happens, I, Wang Ying Xuan, will bear the consequences alone.” Growing up in the Shouzhe Courtyard, it was natural for Wang Ying Xuan to be subtly influenced by Wang Shouzhe’s thinking.

Regarding enemies, one must strike down some, divide others, and also win over some!

Seeing Wang Ying Xuan’s resolute demeanor, Yan Hongtian dared not advise further. Instead, he solemnly declared, “Yuxuan boss, what are you saying? As long as it’s a decision you’ve truly made, I, Yan Hongtian, will firmly follow it. Even if we lack the conditions, we must create the conditions to follow.”

“Hongtian, I truly didn’t misjudge you,” Wang Ying Xuan said, patting his shoulder, feeling quite moved internally.

“Boss, considering my loyalty, can’t you spare me a Divine Spiritual Treasure?” Yan Hongtian began to show his true intentions eagerly.

“Don’t you already have the Flying Swallow?” Wang Ying Xuan remarked, looking at him askance.

“Boss, if you spare me one, I could return ‘Flying Swallow.’ She’s too difficult to attend to,” Yan Hongtian said with annoyance. “Arrogant as if in the heavens; anyone who doesn’t know would think she’s an Immortal Artifact.”

“…” Divine Flying Swallow of Treasure Spear.

…

Meanwhile.

In the Demonic Realm of the Demon God of Darkness and Kill.

At the Red Iron Demon King Fort.

This demon king fortress has a very long history. If traced back, it can even be traced to the time of the previous generation’s Demon God of Darkness and Kill.

The masters of this demon king fortress have changed many generations. Now in this generation, the Red Iron Demon King has become a core force under the Demon God of Darkness and Kill, with tens of thousands of fierce soldiers beneath him; his combat power ranks mid-tier among many demon kings.

This Red Iron Demon King Fort has also undergone several expansions, and its scale and grandeur far surpass the Scarlet Demonic King Fort, which is in a remote and impoverished area.
