āSheās incredible. I canāt read her writing, but her aura though, itās really domineering.ā
āI have a feeling that Old Man Wu is going to lose to this little girlā¦ā
āWe might have a genius in this classā¦ā
People started chattering amongst themselves, making the atmosphere in the classroom even more tenseā¦
Qin Chu finally stopped playing with his Rubix cube, gently placing it onto his desk.
Then he slowly looked up, the expression on his face slowly beginning to changeā¦
The question Mr. Wu put out was one that would not appear until the University Entrance Examination, so it was rather difficult.
It wasnāt a question that some grade 10 students could answer. He obviously was trying to put this girl in an impossible situation.
However, this girl solved it without hesitationā¦
A while ago, he saw this girl in a TV interview, where she acted as arrogant as could be.
Qin Chu was suddenly excited to see how things would unfold.
Finally, Huo Mian finished writing the last symbol, with only a bit of chalk left to spare.
She looked down at her watch and said, āFour minutes and 35 seconds. Just in time and with time to spare.ā
Then she threw the remaining piece of chalk in the garbage can and backed up a few steps so everyone could see the whole chalkboard.
Mr. Wu glanced at the board with a bewildered expression on his faceā¦
āHowā¦ how is this possible?ā
āMr. Wu, Iām right, am I not?ā Huo Mian smiled.
Qin Chu was at the back of the classroom. He saw the smile and felt something different fill his body.
Something seemed to arouse his little soulā¦
āMr. Wu, Mr. Wu?ā Huo Mian waved her hand in front of Mr. Wu since she saw him just standing there like a statue.
It took a while until Mr. Wu could react. āHave you done this question before?ā
āIāve never seen it before,ā Huo Mian said honestly.
āThen how is it possible?ā Mr. Wu was still in shock. Not only did Huo Mian answer the question correctly, but she also used a simple method she developed on her own to solve it. Mr. Wu was thereby shocked at how she was able to solve it so easily and quickly.
āWho taught you thisā¦?ā
āNo one taught me. I learned it by myself. Iāve done similar questions beforeā¦ Although this question is rather difficult, I used my own method to try to prove its accuracyā¦ It turned out that my method works. Itās quite neat, donāt you think?ā
She continued her condescending manner as she talked back to the teacher.
Mr. Wu was dumbfounded.
Finally, he gave out a weak sigh. āYou really know better than your teachers. I never thought there would be such a genius amongst you kidsā¦ Not only were you able to solve this question, but you were also able to do it with your own methodā¦ You truly are a geniusā¦ Class, if anyone is able to meet this standard, then I permit that person to sleep in my class.ā
The whole class started to burst into discussion as soon as Mr. Wu made this announcementā¦
Damn. Being able to sleep in class was such an awesome treatment.
āSirā¦ thereās still ten minutes left. Can I go out and get some fresh air?ā
āYeah.ā
āThanks.ā
āAhā¦ wait,ā Mr. Wu suddenly shouted.
Huo Mian turned aroundā¦
āWhatās your name?ā
āHuo Mian.ā Huo Mian smiled.
Huo Mian was already famous in the first week of class.
Her going against the physics teacher had become a school legend that everyone knew about.
A lot of students in other classes would climb the windows and peek through doors to see who was Huo Mian.
The whole situation turned into something fairly big in their schoolā¦
Qin Chu picked up his Rubix cube and spun it around with one hand.
This girl was rather an interesting characterā¦
And he liked itā¦
It was the first person he was ever interested in and he wanted to know more about her.
Huo Mian slowly came back from the washroom when class was about to beginā¦
A tall figure suddenly blocked her way at the classroom entranceā¦
āHi Huo Mian, my name is Qin Chu,ā Qin Chu introduced himself in a condescending tone.
āWhat does your name have to do with me?ā Huo Mian was even more arrogant.
Qin Chu gave the first helpless smile in his life after hearing to Huo Mianās responseā¦ Just like he expected, he was faced with a challengeā¦
