âReinhardt Ashavir, huh?â Rael muttered with a frown.
The big bad of the continent was coming straight for him.
He was a guy who had a weird skill that let him absorb other people and gain a majority of their stats.
Better yet, he sided with the demons who inhabited the Demonic Lands up north.
Basically, trouble and a lot of it, Rael thought, and nodded at Zareth.
âThanks for the tip, as always. Guess Iâll have to put off leaving Celestara and deal with this bloke first.â
âIndeed. Sadly, I wonât be able to get you any more information from here on since my informant has set course for Yrgon,â Zareth said. âBut still, you have around two days, maybe a little less, to prepare for Reinhardtâs arrival.â
âOh, Iâll greet him alright,â Rael replied with an ominous chuckle.
He wasnât going to let someone like that roam in Celestara. In fact, he had already decided to make Reinhardt the first-ever target of his Dream Eater evolution.
Should be fun. Not for him, though.
Nonetheless, Zareth took his leave once again, and now, Rael was left with the one interface he had been waiting for.
<Would you like to collect the earnings of the dark auction? Yes/No>
Yep.
<Auction: +3,293,000,000 Trell>
Rael couldnât help but gasp at the amount of money he got. However, he knew most of it would go into preparations such as skill fusion, evolution, better gear, and obviously, stat enhancement.
But⊠stat enhancement is a bit shit. If the price doubles every 10 upgrades, then I can only get 280 or so stats before I run out of money⊠itâs terrible, Rael thought with a sigh.
The Premium Leveling perk shined when he bought experience in bulk. Frankly, with the amount of money he had currently, he could buy a couple hundred levels. But beyond that, he planned to spend most of his money fusing skills.
But for the time being, I need to get some things in order⊠Rael trailed off, opening his friend list and sending a message to one person in particular.
<Rael Sutekh: Hey, long time no see, nudist girl. Care for a little chat?>
Of course, it was none other than Linlin.
<Linlin Xu: Iâm busy right now. Is it important?>
Raelâs brows twitched.
<Rael Sutekh: Well, Aztera is invading us. Not important at all.>
A few seconds had passed, and he didnât receive a single reply. InsteadâŠ
<Linlin has invited you to temporarily join the organization: Radiant Dawn>
<Do you accept? Yes/No>
Guess sheâs calling in the cavalry⊠Rael chuckled and pressed âYes.â
<Congratulations! Youâve successfully joined the organization: Radiant Dawn>
<Duration: 31 Days>
<RD-Linlin Xu: What the fuck.>
<RD-Qiqi Xu: Sis, donât cuss in the chatroomâŠ>
Rael sighed, since he knew this was going to take a while.
Because of that, he sent his crystal constructs back to the boutique and tossed Aria over his shoulder.
He let Linlin and her sister chat it out. In the meantime, he carried Aria outside, summoned his car, and set her down in the passengerâs seat.
Then, he simply sat inside and put the car into autopilot before returning his attention to the chatroom.
<RD-Linlin Xu: Rael, are you still with us? Sorry for inviting you out of the blue, but my sister and I are the only ones in the Dralgur Continent. The rest of Radiant Dawn is off the continent.>
AlreadyâŠ? Raelâs eyes widened as he decided to cut straight to the chase.
<RD-Rael Sutekh: So you invited me for the war achievement then?>
<RD-Linlin Xu: Something like that⊠can we meet in person? Iâm in Celestara, and so is my sister.>
Rael nodded in satisfaction.
<RD-Rael Sutekh: Come to the boutique. Iâll explain. Iâll be there in a few minutes.>
With that, he took over the wheel and sped toward the palace.
Even if his guards were trustworthy, he didnât exactly have the most faith in them to carry a defenseless princess to her room.
Therefore, Rael took the liberty of doing that himself.
Her quarters werenât the fanciest, however, they had been remodeled to resemble her rooms in Yrgon.
Open hallways, giant gardens, and of course, the maids, each dressed in a black and white eastern-style outfit.
Evelyn was nowhere in sight, but if he had to guess, she was training in her room.
Nonetheless, Rael was guided to Ariaâs room, which, despite her tough demeanor, was surprisingly girly.
More importantlyâŠ
Pink bedsheetsâŠ? Donât tell me she has a Barbie hidden in her drawer too⊠Rael trailed off, tempted to check her cabinet.
But he resisted. The pink bedsheets were more than enough teasing ammunition for now.
He gently laid her down on the bed and tucked her in before slowly walking away.
Just as he stepped through the doorframe and was about to close the door, he smirked at the sleeping Aria.
âFor future reference, next time you pretend to be asleep, try not to smile when I tuck you in.â
And with that, he shut the door and began walking away.
The palace staff glanced at him from time to time, but he ignored those glances as he arrived back at his car and sped off toward the boutique.
After less than a minute, he was practically there, but one message in particular made him halt.
<RD-Dax Wick: Guys, donât try heating up spoiled milk. I thought I could unspoil it by⊠you know⊠but my ass is on fire now. See you soon.>
<RD-Dax Wick: Oh, and welcome aboard, Rael.>
ââŠâ
What an idiot⊠Rael thought with a slight chuckle as he stepped out of his car, stored it, and walked inside the boutique.
Immediately, he spotted Linlin inspecting the walls out of boredom, and a mini Linlin playing around with Sweepus Prime.
She wasnât much smaller than Linlin, and if he had to guess, she was in her late teens. Still a child, though.
Nonetheless, both of them finally spotted Rael as they walked up to him with serious looks on their faces.
He cleared his throat and glanced into the eyes of the two emerald-eyed sisters.
