Chapter 358: Surprise Guests
The throne room was adorned with spiraling marble pillars.
The marble pillars curved overhead, arching across the throne room, and once he glanced up, he saw a familiar sight.
On the ceiling, there was a beautiful figure painted in a divine manner.
It was a woman with golden hair, her hands outstretched. She held a white lotus in one hand and a black one in the other.
It was a beautiful painting, but knowing who the painting honored made Rael scoff in annoyance.
They treat her like some sort of goddess, when in reality, sheâs a greedy manipulator.
Still, that was only the tip of the iceberg, since the figures inside the throne room were nothing short of alarming.
One figure was cloaked in crimson robes, and they held a beautiful white staff resembling the marble that surrounded them.
The other was a tall man who wore nothing but a pair of shorts, his muscles sharply defined.
But despite his massive size, he held a curved sword that was barely two meters long.
And once Rael inspected them, his expression soured further.
âVistorian Aldur, The Eternal Fire Mage (Grade 2 | Noble Class) [Level 251] | Vitality: Tier 9 [100% / 100% HP]
âPetra Talen, The Blade God (Grade 2 | Duke Class) [Level 772] | Vitality: Tier 10 [100% / 100% HP]
The Third and Second seats⊠what are they doing here?
âHeya, lad.â Petra waved with a smirk. âAlcetas did tell us he saw you buzzing around the continent, so we thought you might also come here. Turns out we were right.â
âNow then, Rael Sutekh, and uhhâŠâ he turned to Lilith. âWho are you?â
Lilith tilted her head. âNone of your business, musclehead.â
âPfft⊠Sheâs pretty feisty,â Vistorian remarked, holding back a laugh. âAlas, now that you two are here, that solves one issue that weâve been having.â
He turned toward King Arthur, who had been simply resting on the throne, tapping its armrest.
âOld goose, you can fuck off now. Youâve served your role as bait well.â
King Arthurâs brows twitched as he rose from the throne, then glared at every single person present, especially Rael.
âYou didnât have to come here, Rael. At least not today. So what happens next is entirely on you.â
With that, he walked past everyone and left the throne room, closing the giant gate behind him.
And now, there were only four people inside the throne room.
Rael stared at two of the Five Seats for a few moments before letting out a sigh.
âHere I thought you bastards went back to your world. Why stay here?â Rael asked. âAre you looking for someone or something?â
âOn the contrary, weâre just following orders,â Vistorian replied, narrowing his eyes. âWhere did you put Alene?â
âI wonderâŠ?â Rael shrugged.
âTsk⊠I knew we shouldnât have let that bimbo go out alone,â Petra said with a furious look. âAll that ruckus because of a few skills. Who even cares if he gets those skills? Solenne sure doesnât, so why should we?â
âItâs because perfect skills are rare to come by, so shut up now,â Vistorian chimed in, shooting Rael a glance.
âYouâve been recruited by Alcetas, Jashin, Alene, and even Solenne. Yet, you did not join us. Why? Do you not find what we are offering sufficient?â
âI just donât believe in your ârule the universeâ ideology,â Rael replied flatly, and in the next moment, he decided to stop the back-and-forth bullshit.
He locked eyes with them, and two pop-ups appeared immediately.
<(x2) Human Avatar has been Threaded!>

ââŠ?â
A trickle of blood fell from Vistorianâs ear, but Petra remained unaffected as he looked around, puzzled.
âDid a mosquito just bite meâŠ? What was that?â
âI believe he attacked us,â Vistorian said plainly. âHmm⊠1 Quadrillion damage through a mind attack. Thatâs a serious threat.â
They brushed it off way too easilyâŠ
Since Vistorianâs Vitality was Tier 9, that meant he had at least 100 Quadrillion HP.
Whereas Petra had at least 1 Quintillion HP.
He felt a little outmatched, especially since the only way he could fight back here was to use his Crystal Violin Blade.
<Ding!>
<You have fully repaired: Crystal Violin Blade (Unique-Legendary)!>
âAre we really fighting them?â Lilith asked, amused. âBecause Iâm not sure weâll be able to win.â
âWell, itâs a good chance to test our strength, isnât it?â Rael remarked. âPlus, we canât exactly run away now, can we?â
âHeâs right, you canât run away,â Vistorian chimed in. âIf this kingdom falls because of our battle, then so be it. We donât lose anything on our end.â
âBut Rael here does,â Petra said with a chuckle. âHe wants to control this territory, but if we destroy it, then heâd be left with nothing. Hahaha⊠you gave me a genius idea.â
As soon as Petra finished speaking, he tapped the ground and vanished from sight.
Rael didnât hesitate to reactivate his Foresight.
But what he saw wasnât an attack directed toward him. Instead, it was a slash directed at the entirety of the Holy Kingdom.
Raelâs eyes widened as he jumped into the air and, without hesitation, began tapping his Violet String rapidly.
A myriad of colors appeared, swirling all around Rael before finally settling on the targetâPetra, who had his sword raised slightly above the castle.
Rael took a deep breath and shot his notes forward, causing them to travel out of the window and head straight for the castleâs peak.
And soon, his notes reached Petra, striking him directly.
âBOOOOOOOOOM!
-11%! | Critical True Note! (x241 Crystal Violin Blade)
-1%! | Soul Damage Dealt! (Soul Resonance)
<Ding!>
<Petra Talen, The Blade Godâs Soul Resistance has resisted any adverse effects!>
The explosion caused the entire palace to shake. Moments later, Petra fell through the ceiling, a giant frown on his face.
There was a big cut spanning from his shoulder all the way down to the abdomen. It seemed slightly deep. However, with every passing second, it healed at a remarkable rate until eventually, the wound closed, leaving behind a giant scar.
Rael watched the wound close as if nothing had happened, causing him to frown slightly.
âHmm⊠a little over a quintillion damage. And all you did was flick that weapon of yours a few times?â Petra muttered coldly and turned to Vistorian beside him.
âI suppose we should take him a bit more seriously, shouldnât we?â
