Chapter 647: The Lesson
As Rael stared at this figure that looked like Elizabeth, he eventually let out a sigh.
As it stood, Rael could just slit the brotherâs throat here and now, and he wouldnât be able to do a thing.
It was an interesting thought, but no matter how much Rael thought about it, he didnât want to straight up kill him.
So instead, Rael unfroze the time, and in that very same instant, he grabbed the brotherâs throat.
Because of how fast he was moving before time froze, his neck broke the moment it made contact with Raelâs hand.
His eyes widened in shock, and as he stepped back with his arms wrapped around his throat, he couldnât help but gasp repeatedly.
Eventually, his healing factor kicked in, and the broken neck healed.
But right as he was about to snap back at Rael, he halted.
âYou are one of us?â
Obviously, he spotted the horn Rael had, and it was nearly identical to the Calamity Demonsâ horn.
âIâve never seen you before⊠Are you one of fatherâs new spawns? What is your name?â
âJust shut up for a moment,â Rael replied with a sigh.
The brotherâs brows twitched.
But even then, it seemed like there was some degree of kinship here, so he didnât attack Rael straight up.
Instead, he listened carefully.
Though Rael didnât have anything smart to say.
Instead, it was just a jab.
âWhy are you coming for Lilith? What is your intent here, exactly?â
âIntent? Must I have intent for disciplining a stupid sibling?â he replied with a scoff. âShe attacked my territory and killed the demons in charge. I am merely going there to seek some compensation.â
Rael raised a brow.
âWhat kind of compensation?â
The brotherâs smirk widened.
âThe kind that would assure me she never gets to take another step inside the Demonic Realm again.â
HmmâŠ
So he was an idiot.
A way bigger idiot than Rael expected.
But regardless of how he was, Rael simply steadied his posture.
The brother seemed confused at first, but then, before he could react, Rael dashed toward him and struck him across the face.
As he was sent flying back through the sky, the surroundings crumbled from the shockwave.
A few mountains were decimated in an instant, and a nearby village was hit by a dust storm.
Nonetheless, Rael followed up by freezing time, then reappearing in the air just above the brother.
And when he unfroze time, he went ahead and gave him a slap over the back of the head, sending him hurtling back down to the ground again.
This time, the attack was weaker, but even then, he was sent flying like a meteor until finallyâŠ
BOOOOOM!
He impacted the ground heavily, and as the rocks and debris flew outward, Rael calmly descended.
When the dust settled and the brotherâs figure came into view, he was unsurprisingly unscathed.
As big of a ragdoll as he had become, he was still a Grade 6.
âYou are fairly strong and extremely fast. I donât understand why someone like you is affiliating yourself with Lilith,â he said. âIf you were to join me, I could provide you unlimited riches and women. Imagine all the succubi who would die if they donât sleep with you.â
He kicked off the ground, reappearing in front of Rael.
âThis is the only time I will give you this offer. Do you wish to join me as my subordinate?â
âNope. You can fuck off back to where you came from,â Rael replied kindly.
The moment he did, the brother obviously wasnât happy.
So with a flick of his wrist, he sent a gust of black flames at Rael.
Rael didnât dodge it.
In fact, he was quite curious about how these black flames felt.
So when they hit him, something interesting happened.
His skin began to rot instead of burn, and not only that, the fire wouldnât be put out no matter how much Rael fanned at it.
So when he finally got a taste of what he was looking for, he froze the flames in time and then ripped his skin off.
Although it hurt a fair deal, Rael was unfazed, and when the black flames finally vanished from his body, he stared at the brother with an unflinching gaze.
On the other end, the brother was slightly startled by Raelâs indifference.
Anyone would find it painful to do what he had just done, and yet he did so without batting an eye.
It really did seem like Rael was crazy, but since that was the case, killing a crazy person was far easier than killing someone rational.
So as the brother steadied his gaze and began channeling his Laws, Rael suddenly hit him with a curveball.
Rather, a curved kick straight to the balls.
It happened so fast that before the brother knew it, he was already thousands of meters into the sky.
Rael froze the time and reappeared in front of him.
Then, he unfroze the time once more and gave him another kick to the balls.
Then another, and another.
With every kick, and every instance Rael unfroze time, the brotherâs expression paled.
By the 10th kick, he looked like a ghost, and although he tried to resist Raelâs kicks, he couldnât even resist the time stop.
So in the end, he was forced to be beaten relentlessly, and only after the 50th kick to the balls did a fierce amount of mana leave his body, causing Raelâs time stop to finally stop functioning.
The moment it did, all the pain that had been halted by the stopped time came at once, and as expected, the brother shriveled up and groaned.
On the other end, Rael got rid of the black flames and finally reappeared above the brother.
Although he had just displayed a lot of power, clearly he was in no condition to do it again.
He was so easy to kill now.
Rael kind of regretted not doing it.
But even so, he felt like he had taught him a slight lesson, and for that reason, he grabbed the brother by the neck as though he were a trophy and then glanced off into the distance.
It was about time Rael showed Lilith his little side quest.
