CapĂtulo 688: Rael, The Platinum Ancient Primordial Hunter
<Ding!>
<Ding!>
<+0.39% Law of Infinity Mastery!>
Rael was stunned.
A Grade 10 being had died just like that.
A being who Rael couldâve never even come face to face with had it been a couple of weeks ago.
And now⊠Rael not only killed him, but absorbed some of his Laws, converting them into Law of Infinity mastery.
It was hard not to show his excitement.
Because he sure as shit was extremely excited right now.
âHoly shit⊠Anna, did you see that?â Rael said, nearly yelping like a little girl. âWhat even happened? I swear when I used all those Laws together like that, they just kind of get blocked, no?â
âWell⊠Iâm not too sure myself,â Anna admitted. âBut I believe Gaia would know. Right, Gaia?â
[Of course.]
Gaia took a deep breath, then continued:
[Simply put, you had been channeling your Laws in their rawest form without an actual set form to contain them. They lose the majority of their power that way. But now that youâve gotten the Heavenly Slash, you may concentrate them, and even enhance them accordingly.]
âOhoâŠâ Rael smiled. âWhat about the attack, then? I saw some flames spew out, and then just vanish.â
[That⊠Since your races focus on mind domination and destruction, the Heavenly Slash took the form of millions of miniature black holes,] Gaia said, her voice falling lower.
[Basically, the moment Chunma was hit by the black hole, it unfurled, and maximized his mental capacity, making it so he couldnât stop thinking. Ideas would sprout, and they would branch out endlessly. Now⊠Imagine enhancing such a deadly revelation by trillions of timesâŠ]
She let out a sigh.
[In short, you overloaded billions of eons of memories into a single second, thus frying Chunmaâs brain and rendering him a cripple. Thatâs when the black holes would then suck out Chunmaâs memories and kill him instantly.]
At first, Rael thought of it as an exciting joke.
But now that he heard how his attack really worked⊠he was kind of intimidated.
He had never expected that something so terrifying would happen.
Overloading someone with so much knowledge that their brains burst.
âJeezâŠâ
âI hope I donât accidentally hit myself one of these days.â
[In contrast, I hope you donât either,] Gaia chimed in with a chuckle.
Nonetheless, since that was over and done with, Rael was prepared to move on.
But that was when he remembered something.
Chunmaâs body was purely intact.
Which meant he would make a perfect construct.
Rael smiled and focused on Chunmaâs body, prepared to turn him into a construct.
HoweverâŠ
<Ding!>
âHmmâŠâ
Rael wanted to do it right away, but he felt like this might take some time.
And he didnât have that much time currently.
So instead, he walked over to Chunma, and after placing his hand on Chunmaâs forehead, Rael stored him inside his inventory.
The sword was also pretty nice, so Rael didnât hesitate to plop that into his inventory too.
When he was done, Rael was prepared to continue heading forward.
But that was when Anna suddenly grabbed his sleeve, stopping him.
Rael turned to her, confused.
âYes?â
Anna lowered her gaze slightly.
âThank you for pushing me out of the way.â
Surprised, Rael let out a chuckle.
âThatâs the first time Iâve heard you thank me. Donât mention it.â
It really did seem like Anna had gone through a drastic change.
And Rael was all up for it.
However, after seeing what happened just now to Chunma, Rael was a little confused about his own motives.
Why exactly should he run anymore?
If he could kill them this easily, then whatâs the point in actively avoiding them when he could just go up to them, steal their most powerful skills, and then absorb their Law masteries, further increasing his own power.
HonestlyâŠ
âAnna, you mentioned seeing some more Ancient Primordials around here. Could you tell me where you saw them?â
âDo you want to kill them?â Anna asked.
Rael nodded right away.
Seeing that, Anna let out a sigh.
âTruth be told, I was joking at that time too.â
She was⊠what?
âI didnât see anyone, but because I heard Gaia talking about being cool, I thought if I told you I knew where all our enemies were, youâd think I was cooler.â
WowâŠ
âThatâs perhaps the most innocent thing Iâve heard this week.â
But since she really didnât know where they were, Rael could rest a little bit easier.
âIn that case, letâs continue going forward. If you spot anyone before me, let me know. Weâll go down and kill them before continuing ahead.â
Hearing that, Anna gave him a nod of affirmation.
And after that, the two of them simply began to travel atop the tree root.
Rael was focused on the branch that was presumably coming from Yggdrasil.
Gaia, should I head over to that branch? he asked.
[No need. Just keep following the tree root,] Gaia replied. [The branch would lead you into the noble quarters, you could say. They are closed off from the rest of Yggdrasil, so you wonât be able to directly enter Yggdrasil instead.]
HmmâŠ
What if I just scale Yggdrasil? You know, climb to the very top?
[Your lack of understanding is oddly cute at timesâŠ] Gaia giggled. [Yggdrasil is as big as thousands of galaxies stacked on top of one another. Time moves differently outside of it, and since the whole tree is covered in the Law of Space, your speed of light would be deemed irrelevant.]
[Simply put, it would take you a few million years to even reach 1/100th of the way there. Thatâs why itâs crucial to enter through the inside.]
ââŠâ
Well shit.
Merry christmas đ
