Chapter 851: Meet Up
Once they entered the back room, the first thing Rael saw was a sword that was at the very least Legendary ranked. Not only that, there were a few Mythics, and even higher.
Rael guessed a basic Common ranked sword here was as good as a Mythic ranked sword outside.
And if that was the case, then he knew that this was where all the big bucks were.
Though, as he inspected sword after sword, he couldnât help but realize that there werenât actually any stat increases on any of the swords. Instead, there was pure damage, and maybe even a stray damage type.
In the end, Rael didnât care much about the damage types, because even if he was here and most of his stuff was slightly altered, he still dealt Cosmic Damage which allowed him to hit every version of a singular being.
StillâŠ
âThis is a little fancy, isnât it? Mind if I snag a pair or two?â Rael asked.
Reyna shook her head.
âNone of these are for sale, since they belonged to the comrades I had lost. However, I am open to personally making you a weapon, so long as you can pay the right price.â
She paused for a moment.
âSo long as that price is anywhere near what youâve just given me, then Iâll even throw in a tip or two regarding the tower. So what do you say?â
âHehe. Sure. Iâve always wanted to try a zweihander, so if you know what that is, could you make it for me?â Rael asked.
âSomething like that?â Reyna pointed at one of the swords on the wall. Noticing that it was the zweihander, Rael just gave her a thumbs up.
With that, she quickly picked out some materials, tossed them into a sack, and then finally started approaching the room where she had her furnace set up.
But right before she entered, she said:
âItâs going to take a few hours. Until then, feel free to either wait here or outside.â
Rael smiled at her, and finally, she entered her furnace room.
As for Rael, he quickly exited the smithy, and after making sure to not forget its location, he decided to head on over to where Nyx was staying.
Of course, the reason why he was ordering a sword was simple. He was curious how it would fare against the swords he could make with his Absolute Architect skill.
He could only find that out after he switched floors, since at the moment, he couldnât exactly use his mana.
Maybe Iâd be able to if I enter my personalized dungeon though?
Rael thought.
Eh⊠Though Iâm kinda scared to enter it, because my money hasnât come yet. The last thing I want is to enter that place and be tossed into some abyss.
Anyhow⊠Once he arrived back to his temporary home, he was immediately met with Nyx who, to his surprise, wasnât actually sleeping. Instead, she was trying her hand in the kitchen, as if replicating every move he made.
Except every part she replicated was significantly worse than his. After all, when someone thought that cutting an onion as though it was an apple was a good idea, then Rael knew that this food might have some kind of ancient curse lying around inside it as well.
âWhat are you making?â
Nyx turned toward him and shrugged.
âIâm trying out an every ingredient stew, or maybe soup. It depends on how it turns out after all of it is melted.â
Raelâs brow twitched.
âAll ingredient stew?â
She nodded.
âHumans are very interesting creatures, because why exactly are they choosing to be so picky about their food? If they just combine everything, theyâd get the nutrients of everything they like and dislike. It balances each other out, of course.â
RightâŠ
Well, it was Raelâs fault in this case. He shouldâve known that leaving someone senseless in something as complicated as a kitchen would breed disaster. Anyhow, Rael didnât think too hard about it and lay down on the bed.
Then, seeing Nyx still playing around in the kitchen, he said:
âWanna know what I heard?â
âI know what you heard, because I was inside your mind listening. It sounds interesting, and yes, I also believe there are people far higher than this vampire is willing to admit. But if they really are higher, do you seriously think floor 200 is where we need to go?â Nyx replied.
Rael hummed.
âI would guess so. Sometimes the rumors that sound too good to be true are truthful. Doesnât matter much though, as Iâm sure Iâll find out exactly what it is soon enough. On that note, turn off the fire and leave everything as it is, because Iâm pretty sure youâre two ingredients away from creating a hydrogen bomb.â
Nyxâs brow twitched, but despite that, she put down the ladle and stepped back.
âGood. Letâs go eat some food in a proper restaurant, okay?â Rael said, and after getting her confirmation, the two of them left the house and headed straight for the center where most of the restaurants were.
Honestly, this city was pretty cozy, and not only that, the sheer fact that the inn with that siren or whoever charming people was still as jolly as ever.
But since Rael wasnât much into that kind of music, he decided to just move to a quieter inn. The moment he entered it, he went up to the innkeeper, ordered some plain steak, and then sat down by one of the empty tables.
Only then did Rael realize that Nyx wasnât beside him. Instead, she stood in front of another table, and when Rael glanced over, he was left a little surprised.
After all, sitting and eating was a very familiar face. A face that had been beside them up until a few hours ago.
And of course, that face belonged to none other than Renoir, whose hair was covered in the blood of monsters.
But on the bright side, at least he was eating well?
