CapĂtulo 930: Annoying Choice
She stared at him for a moment, then let out a sigh.
âYour true identity? Why would that matter? You exist, so keep existing.â
Rael rolled his eyes. âWhat if someone made me, though, and installed some kind of purpose? I donât want to be anyoneâs pawn, so Iâd like to find out whatever it is before I get, well, you know, killed?â
Tiamat pondered over it, her brows furrowing slightly.
Truth be told, she had already foreseen something like this happening. She had realized just how strange of an existence Rael was from the moment he stepped through her door. It was just that she didnât want to admit it.
After all, beings like this, who already had all the power in the universe but were practically sealed, were the biggest pieces of danger attraction in the entire universe. If she so much as said the wrong word and accidentally awakened his powers, her peace would vanish.
But by now, she had realized there wasnât anything she could do. He had brought so much attention to her just by meeting her a second time.
Therefore, she decided to just accept it and play along.
âWhy not go to the beginning of time, then?â
Rael raised a brow. âThe hellâs the beginning of time? You think I can turn back time that far back?â
Tiamat shook her head. âRather than turning back time, you could go to the very beginning of the universe. Every universe has its beginning, and theyâre all connected.â
She raised a single finger. âAll you need to do is go there and walk through the portal. You should be taken to a library of all your memories. I believe people refer to it as the Akashic Records. Itâs pretty useless for everyone, so that place is pretty much abandoned.â
Then, a second finger.
âBut for you, who needs to figure some stuff out regarding memories and your identity, itâs the best place to go. Go there, read everything, and be thankful for my help.â
Despite her actually telling the truth, though, Rael wasnât convinced. She did say the truth, that much he was sure of, but somewhere down the line⊠he felt like she was missing out on a few key details.
Rather, one key detail in particular: the question of how he would leave that place after he was done. He stared at her for a few moments longer, then let out a chuckle.
âIs there something youâre hiding from me?â
âNo?â
âNo? Then why does this sound so easy? If such a place existed, couldnât someone just go into it and fake someoneâs identity andâŠâ

She most definitely knew about him.
âDo you know?â Rael asked coldly.
She sighed. âYou should stop speaking in riddles and just tell me what you want to tell me.â
âFine.â Rael narrowed his eyes. âHow do I leave that place, theoretically?â
âYou go through the exit once youâre finished?â Tiamat replied plainly.
Her words were so crisp and clear, and her mana didnât move in the slightest. Even his lie detection ability didnât trigger, but Rael knew for a fact that she wasnât telling him the truth. For that reason alone, he decided to turn toward Sylvia instead.
âWhatâs the prerequisite to this place? Tell me all about the Akashic Records.â
Sylvia shook her head. âIâm not your Guardian, so I wonât be answering your questions. Also, I have already warned you about watching yourself here. Please be mindful of what you say and do, as your current image reflects poorly in my eyes.â
Rael just scoffed at her words and decided to be a bit more forceful. Or rather, right as he was about to make a move, he halted, realizing that Tiamat had raised her hands in defeat.
âFine. We can do it your way. You want me to answer you honestly? In that case, the only way you can leave that place is if you read every single book pertaining to your memories there. You could read at light speed, but you would probably still take millions of years to read a book, simply because you do seem a little old by now.â
Hm⊠so she did know about the exit, but it seemed like she had no idea about Raelâs memories. Rather, the memories he could buy at any moment. If he went in there and was forced to read the memories of every single person in his mind⊠heâd be screwed.
After all, while he might now own many of the memories, since they were connected to him, heâd be screwed. In short, this option, while technically viable, would take him several thousand eons of reading to finish.
Could he actually leave someone for so longâŠ? Rael felt like that number didnât even fully process inside his mind, since it was just that unbelievable.
Trillions of years, maybe even quadrillions. All spent reading day in and day out with no activity or anything else. It was scary, very scary. But it also seemed like the only choice he had if Rael actually wanted to figure out his identity.
But before he did something so drastic, Rael decided to look at the bigger picture first.
Isobel would come over tomorrow and give him more details. She might even allow him to meet the other Ambassadors of Reality. It was a useful visit, and Rael was most definitely not going to throw away the off-chance of this giving him the answers he needed.
After all, he would definitely wait a day rather than spending eons alone. With that in mind, he gave Tiamat a slight smile and then turned back to Sylvia.
âWelp, I guess thatâs it for now. Iâm glad you were happy to help me, though I do have one more question, if you donât mind answering.â
Tiamat sighed once again. âWhat is it?â
Rael smiled. âHow do I know if I really have a Guardian? Someone had called out to me, but when I went there, I didnât see anyone.â
âBasically⊠Iâm just curious if I got punked.â
