It was Wang Yunzhi’s first day at work today. East Sea Real Estate provided her work outfit. As soon as she got home from work, Jian Yu called them over, so she couldn’t change her clothes.

Wang Yunzhi pursed her lips and smiled, but she didn’t tell Wang Yunmei directly. She only said, “You haven’t seen me these days. There are so many things that can’t be connected, right?”

Wang Yunmei stopped what she was doing and couldn’t help but look at Wang Yunzhi. “What’s going on? What happened?”

Wang Yunzhi smiled. “I was laid off, so I changed to a new job. I didn’t have time to change out of my work clothes.”

“Work clothes?” Wang Yunmei was shocked. She sized up Wang Yunzhi again. Was this lady’s suit work clothes?

Wang Yunzhi nodded but didn’t say anything. She carried the dishes Wang Yunmei had prepared and left the kitchen.

Xiao Ai had to say it herself. She couldn’t say anything.

In the living room, Yao Feng called Jian Ai to him as soon as they met. Jian Ai didn’t have to guess to know what her uncle was going to say. She immediately said, “Uncle, don’t thank me. We’re family. I want you, Aunt, and Jiachi to lead a better life.”

Yao Feng was clumsy with words and was uneducated. When he got agitated, his entire face would flush red.

Jian Ai was afraid that her uncle would be like this. She quickly said, “Are your legs better?”

Yao Feng nodded. “I’ve been rubbing alcohol these two days. I feel much better.”

“Did my aunt tell you about work?” Jian Ai asked Yao Feng.

When Yao Feng heard this, he nodded in embarrassment. “She did, but Uncle doesn’t have much ability. What can I help you with?”

Jian Ai smiled. “Uncle, don’t worry. I’ll arrange something for you.”

Wang Yunzhi had already talked to Yao Feng yesterday, so Yao Feng had decided that no matter what job Xiao Ai arranged for him, as long as he could do it, he would listen to Xiao Ai.

He nodded at Jian Ai.

Wang Yunmei made a table full of dishes. After serving the last soup, she called out to everyone, “Let’s eat!”

It was a rare reunion between the two families, and everyone had a smile on their faces.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten Sister’s dishes!” Yao Feng sat down and smiled at Wang Yunmei.

When Wang Yunmei heard this, she couldn’t help but smile at him. “Isn’t your leg injured? You can eat more pork trotters to nourish your body!”

Everyone was about to start eating when the door was suddenly pulled open from the outside. Then, they saw Wu Shaoqi walk in with a smile.

“I haven’t even entered the yard yet, but I can already smell the fragrance!” Wu Shaoqi smiled and said.

“Uncle Wu!”

Jian Ai and the rest quickly stood up and greeted him.

“Old Wu, your nose is sharp! You came because of the smell, right?” Wang Yunmei quickly called out, “Xiao Ai, go to the room and get a stool for your Uncle Wu!”

Jian Ai answered and was about to get a stool when Wu Shaoqi waved his hand. “Don’t bother much. I have business here!”

The few of them couldn’t help but be stunned as they looked at Old Wu.

Wang Yunmei said, “What’s wrong, Old Wu? Is it a good thing or a bad thing?”

Wu Shaoqi raised his eyebrows. “Of course, it’s a good thing!”

Without waiting for them to ask, Wu Shaoqi didn’t keep them in suspense. He said, “The news of South City’s demolition has been released. I think everyone will know in the next two days!”

Everyone was shocked when they heard that. They did not expect the news of the demolition to be so sudden!

Wang Yunmei was stunned for a moment before letting out a cry. She looked at Wang Yunzhi and said, “Zhi, you haven’t found a house yet, right?”

Wang Yunzhi and Yao Feng couldn’t help but look at each other. For a moment, they didn’t know what to say to Wang Yunmei, so they could only look at Jian Ai.
