Chapter 102: Chapter 102 Donât Come Annoying Me Again Chapter 102: Chapter 102 Donât Come Annoying Me Again Chiang Xiao could no longer remember who her deskmate was at that time or which seat she was in.
As she walked out of the school, she saw that wall and remembered the task Secretary Yao had given her.
The weeds around that wall had been cleared away, fine sand and gravel laid down, and the wall itself had already been cleaned by someone, apparently just waiting for her to start painting.
However, Chiang Xiao did not want to paint in full view of everyone and figured she could only wait until after school and the weekends. Thinking of this, an idea struck her.
She had been trying to find an excuse to go to the town to sell Tianxiang Green, and now she had the perfect reason.
There would be a market tomorrow, but she had school and couldnât go to the town with her grandfather, and she urgently needed painting paper and didnât want to wait another day, so she had to make a trip to the town this afternoon.
With this plan in mind, Chiang Xiao entered the school gates.
The school in Siyang Village was very small, an inverted L-shaped bungalow with a total of six classrooms, two offices, and two teacher dormitories. In front of the school buildings was a small playground that could accommodate about two hundred people.
The toilets were on the other side of the school buildings, across the playground.
This school was actually considered the best building in Siyang Village, even though the classrooms were quite old.
Each classroom had around twenty sets of desks and chairs, with only one class per grade. This was all thanks to Secretary Yao who, after taking office, placed special emphasis on education, treating the childrenâs learning as a top priority, hence the establishment of this school.
Just as Chiang Xiao stepped through the gate, someone called out to her from behind, âChiang Xiao!â
Hearing it was Ding Daniâs voice, Chiang Xiao initially didnât want to pay attention, but remembering that she and Ding Dani were in the same class, and that ignoring her wouldnât stop her from speaking her mind in class, she stopped.
Ding Dani ran over, came around in front of her, and pushed her.
âChiang Xiao, you have the nerve to show up!â
Chiang Xiao did not expect her to get physical right away. Although she got pushed, her body was nimble now, and with a sidestep, she immediately regained her balance.
If it had been before, she probably would have ended up falling flat on her behind.
Ding Dani glared at Chiang Xiao as if fire could shoot from her eyes.
She had gone to her cousinâs house in the town the day before, and for some reason, having not seen Chiang Xiao for less than two days, she thought Chiang Xiao looked radiant, her skin much clearer and so dewy it seemed like honey could be squeezed from it.
Chiang Xiao, looking like this, filled Ding Dani with both jealousy and hatred.
A girl of thirteen or fourteen cannot tolerate the slightest bit of someone else being better than her.
Chiang Xiao couldnât help but reveal a mocking smile.
âWhy shouldnât I dare come? Iâve neither stolen nor hurt anyone, nor have I done anything embarrassing, so why wouldnât I dare?â
Chiang Xiaoâs eloquence was something Ding Dani had already experienced.
But upon hearing her words, Ding Dani suddenly let out a sneer, âYou havenât done anything embarrassing? I heard that you were rolling around in Uncle Mengziâs sweet potato field with some wild man!â
âSlap!â
A slap left Ding Dani stupefied.
The burning pain on her face brought her back to reality, and her eyes instantly reddened, âChiang Xiao, you dare to hit me!â
âKeep slandering and ruining my reputation; see if I donât dare to kill you?â Chiang Xiao looked at her, her tone dark with a hint of ruthlessness, âDing Dani, I should thank you for pushing me into the water that day; it made me realize a lot of things in a moment of life and death! I warn you, Iâm not the same Chiang Xiao as before. If you keep provoking me, donât blame me for being heartless and cruel!â
After saying that, she walked past Ding Dani and went on her way.
Although itâs not graceful to quarrel with a young girl, what use was grace to her? Could it be eaten or drunk, or could grace protect her and ensure a comfortable life until old age?
