Chapter 1623: Chapter 1625: Too Arrogant
âYo, whereâd this little firecracker come from? Got quite the guts, huh? Planning to smash my tape recorder?â
A young man with very long hair walked out from inside the house.
He had a scruffy little moustache and lecherous glint in his small eyes, making him look downright sleazy.
Although he didnât bear much resemblance to Kuang Yunxian, Chiang Xiao immediately recognized him. This was definitely Kuang Huizhiâs son.
Because his features shared a few similarities with Kuang Huizhi.
If it werenât for him being here, this group of unruly young men and women wouldnât be gathered around causing trouble.
He had just spoken when he finally got a good look at Chiang Xiaoâs appearance. A flicker of light sparked in his small eyes.
âYouâre disturbing the peace,â Chiang Xiao said coldly.
She cursed inwardly at her bad luck.
Turns out she still had to deal with this guy after all.
What on earth was Kuang Yunxian doing? So much time had passed and he still hadnât regained the house. His efficiency was ridiculously low.
âOh? Did we bother you? My bad, my bad. Iâll turn the music off right now.â Wang Guoming suddenly changed his tone, raising his hand to smack the back of another young man nearby. âWhat are you, dead? Didnât you hear the young lady say the volume was too high? How dare you disturb her! What am I even keeping you guys around for? Did I tell you to cause this much racket?â
The young man was dazed from the smack but upon registering, scrambled to turn off the tape recorder.
Once it was off, it felt as if the entire world had fallen silent.
âAlright, alright. Look at what youâve done to my place! Clean it up, now!â Wang Guoming kicked one and shoved another, barking orders to get everyone moving.
The group exchanged knowing glances, snickering quietly.
âLooks like Young Master Mingâs got his eye on her. Alright then! Letâs tidy up to impress the future sister-in-law!â someone teased with a shameless grin.
The comment made the crowd burst into laughter.
Another person even helped up the two young men Chiang Xiao had beaten. âTaking a hit from our future sister-in-law? Donât worry, Young Master Ming will make it up to you. Stop whining already. They say a hit means affection, and a scold means love. Future sister-in-lawâs just showing she cares about you guys!â
These remarks accompanied by their laughter made Chiang Xiao feel nauseated. Her face instantly darkened.
âI suggest you all watch your mouths. If you keep spewing nonsense, donât blame me for using my fists again,â she snapped.
Even her anger, in Wang Guomingâs eyes, was dazzlingly striking.
He scolded the group, then addressed Chiang Xiao, âDonât mind them. Theyâre just so used to joking around that they donât mean any harm. My nameâs Wang Guoming. And you? Letâs get acquainted. Weâre going to be neighbors from now on.â
As he spoke, Wang Guoming extended his hand toward Chiang Xiao.
Chiang Xiao eyed him, then suddenly threw a straight punch that slammed right into his face.
Wang Guoming let out a cry of pain as he stumbled back, knocking over the table holding the tape recorder and a bunch of sodas and beers. The items crashed to the ground, leaving the place in complete disarray.
Chiang Xiao stared coldly at Wang Guoming, who was struggling to get back up. âI dare you to keep joking around. Letâs see who has the guts to say one more word.â
âYoung Master Ming! Are you okay?!â
âDamn it, this chickâs way too cocky! Guess weâll have to teach her a lesson! You little brat, acting all tough for no reason!â
A few of the young men spat on the ground and began closing in on Chiang Xiao. One of them even grabbed a folding chair, swinging it viciously towards her back.
âWatch out!â the uncle at the doorway shouted in alarm.
