Gao Wei immediately looked at Du Jinruo, his eyes burning with intensity, "Alright then, be with me, be my girlfriend. However cultured you want me to be, Iâll do it. If I canât, you can hit me, scold me, whateverâIâll be yours to manage, how about that?"
"Can you stop spouting nonsense?" Du Jinruoâs face stiffened, and she glared at him before turning nervously to Kevin, "Letâs go upstairs and sit."
"If you and this Mr. Gao are friends, you can chat with him. Iâm fine by myself," Kevin said warmly, seemingly unfazed by Gao Weiâs earlier rudeness.
"Hey, man, youâre quite understanding." Gao Wei grinned and reached out to pull Du Jinruo.
Du Jinruo was both anxious and angry. She immediately swatted his hand away, then stepped closer to Kevin, "No need, how could I leave you alone? Come on, letâs go upstairs and sit."
As she spoke, Du Jinruo moved to hook Kevinâs arm.
The fact that he didnât mind earlier made her a bit anxious.
Could it be that Kevin really had no feelings for her at all? She wanted to be a little more assertive.
