Police Commissioner James’s words faltered three times, with no momentum at all.If Lao was a tiger, then James at this moment seemed more like a cat…

Then, he picked up the phone and called in his assistant, asking him to check out the car. The key had a license plate on it, so it wasn’t hard to find.

He whispered to James, his voice trembling with amazement. When James heard his subordinate’s report, his expression froze. He didn’t even know how to react!

How much money was in that car? He couldn’t even begin to imagine…

“Sir, a small token of respect. Want to take a puff?”

Lei Luo stood up, smiling as he handed James a cigar. If James took a puff, it would mean he acknowledged Lei Luo, the money was his, and the order would remain the same.

If James didn’t take a puff…

“I still have to visit other officers, so I won’t stay long.”

As Lao stood, a string of car keys slipped from his coat. Seeing this, James’s pupils contracted, and he couldn’t help but reach out a trembling hand.
