Rio placed his hand on his chest and increased the output of his sword intent to calm down his body.

’Thankfully I already blocked Shadow from watching that memory or his already weak residual consciousness would have shattered completely...’

The consciousness of the previous Rio that’s still in Rio’s body is just a remnant ’will’ left after both of their souls merged together; it’s not powerful or complete enough to even be called a proper consciousness.

It’s not powerful enough to withstand such powerful spiritual and mental attacks.

’That was without a doubt the doing of ’that’ thing...’

In this world, SS-rankers are considered ’Demi-Gods’ because they can control the laws of the world with their ’World Authority’; they are tremendously powerful beings.

But that’s not the peak of individual strength.

In the original novel, that horrifying being only came to this planet when Fade was fully grown up; there was no mention of it in the original novel before that point.

It appeared out of nowhere without any warning.

But this time, things seem to have taken a completely different course; someone has interfered with the normal path of destiny.

’That being came in contact with Alverto...’

The reason why Rio was feeling anxious and the reason why his sword intent was being suppressed tremendously was also because of that being.

In the original novel there was no such character as Alverto, and there was no mention of that unique werewolf girl, likely because they never came in contact with that ’godly’ existence.

But this time it’s different.

Something changed this time; something brought that ’godly’ being’s attention to Alverto.

’What did that being tell Alverto? What did it promise him that Alverto is working so hard so desperately?’

Although a few of Rio’s questions were answered, that only created even more questions than he already had.

’No, this won’t do. I will have to confront Alverto himself if I want to know something about this matter...’

’That being coming in contact with this world so early is not a good thing... currently there’s no one who can even hold a candle against its power...’

’Even Ashtel can’t do anything to him... this world isn’t ready for its arrival yet... I must stop Alverto no matter what...’

’If he’s trying to bring ’It’ here, then I must kill Alverto first...’

Up until now, Rio had no actual reason to really kill Alberto; at most, it was just taking revenge for Zach, but now, it’s different.

Now that he has found out about such a huge threat, Rio’s killing intent for Alverto has completely solidified.

Without anymore hesitation, Rio immediately started to move forward.

’Gene Collapse’ completely destroys your DNA and cells from the inside out; you end up becoming a blob of rotting mass if you get hit by this effect.

’Cosmic Degradation’ is even stronger; it makes you get affected by cosmic powers, and the space-time fabric around your body becomes weird and shatters your body into a puddle of blood, muscle, and other organic matter.

’Pathway Collapse’ is even more horrifying; it causes your ’Path’ to collapse.

A person’s ’Path’ is the embodiment of their will, ambition, and goals, but if it collapses, your will to live and your ambition to achieve better will also disappear.

It can degrade you into a state of a cripple who won’t even have the will to live anymore. It damages your ’will’ and damages your soul.

Your strength will become weaker, and you won’t be able to go further anymore.

All these are just some basic effects of damage; the power of an SSS ranker is beyond anyone’s comprehension.

Even in the original novel, Rio didn’t actually see that final boss go all out, as he never read the ending of the novel and never read about the final battle.

Although Fade had reached that level, he wasn’t really all that strong; he was much weaker than the final boss.
