[Subscribe Requested] Angel Camp is a small power from the Northern Star Domain.
This powerâs main base in the Northern Star Domain is not particularly strong, so in this Desolate Star System, they do not have much of an advantage, and due to their weak personnel, they have not been allotted many resource collection slots.
The headquarters of Angel Camp is located in the outermost part near the center of the Desolate Star Domain; this area is where many of the weaker powers aiming for Chaos Stones are concentrated.
This place is more chaotic than the center, with battles occurring daily, and organizations being destroyed periodically.
New organizations also come here to establish outposts from time to time.
It can basically be considered a place without management.
âThis time we successfully got ten collection slots, but these slots are not necessarily a good thing.
Our Angel Camp is just too weak in this Desolate Star System, with only four Star Space Level individuals, at most considered medium strength.
With this level of power, it is too difficult to maintain our slots in the battle for them!â
In Angel Camp, a powerful Four-eyed Monster was complaining resentfully to two other beings.
The other two beings were also deeply frustrated.
They knew that this year, their Angel Camp might once again just warm up the âcollection slotsâ in their hands before handing them over to someone else.
The Chaos Stone collection slots in the Desolate Star System used an initial allocation system, whereby each power could eventually get a turn to receive slots, but then they would face challenges from stronger powers.
If they could not win, their slots would be taken away.
This system, of course, wasnât that simple; there were limits on how many times a challenging power could issue challenges, among other rules that advantaged the initial holders.
However, at the end of the day, if a power was too weak, losing their collection slots was just a matter of minutes.
In fact, Angel Camp wasnât considered extremely weak since a power that had four members at the Star Space Level couldnât be called weak.
Yet, historically, a power with four Early Star Space Powerhouses had rarely managed to hold onto their slots in previous challenges; only those medium forces with extreme luck had managed to prevail in the end.
Thus, the beings at Angel Camp were feeling extremely insecure.
âHow about we do this, letâs just sell the slots this time.
Next time, letâs see if the headquarters will send a Mid-Starry Sky Period being and maybe we can hold onto the slotsâŠâ
As the Four-eyed Monster lamented, another powerful Star Space Level being took over the conversation.
The speaker was a creature that resembled a Giant Snake.
Its eyes held a bizarre gleam, occasionally emitting a chilling light, suggesting it was not a favorable being to provoke.
Yet, it was such a powerful being who paradoxically suggested selling the slots!
Just as the Four-eyed Monster staggered, about to say something, at their meeting area outside, a being that appeared to be at the Heavenly Peak was knocking on their door.
âCome in.
Whatâs the matter, havenât we said not to disturb us during the meeting unless itâs something urgent?â
Despite discussing their lack of significant strength, they still carried an imposing authority in front of the typically weaker beings in their own power.
Suddenly, the Four-eyed Monster issued an angry roar, causing the Heavenly Peak being who entered to tremble a bit.
âLord, I did not dare interrupt the Lordsâ discussion, but a Star Space Level being has arrived outside, and I feared they might be an important guest for the Lords; thatâs why I came to knock.
Please forgive me!â
This Heavenly Peak being quickly explained the reason for his interruption.
In reality, he was muttering internally, âLook at you discussing every day for hours, yet you never seem to conclude anything.
Youâre afraid of being disturbed, but whatâs the use if you canât reach an agreement?â However, he would never dare to say this out loud.
âOh?
A Star Space Level being!
Do you know who it is?â the chief Four-eyed Monster inquired peculiarly.
âI do not know, Lord.
This being looks very unfamiliar, seemingly not from this star area,â the Heavenly Peak being answered.
âCould it beâŠ
the headquarters foresaw our need for a powerful being and sent one over?â the Four-eyed Monster exclaimed in surprise.
âLetâs go and see which powerhouse it is.â They all stood up and headed outside.
And just outside in a part of Angel Camp was a figure of immense stature, calmly standing and surveying his surroundings.
This figure was naturally Jia Yan.
He stood in the Reception Square of Angel Camp, which was possibly the largest area in this vicinity, spanning a good five kilometers in length and widthâan open space.
This area was part of a small interstellar material about seventy kilometers in size, filled with buildings everywhere.
Having such a sizable area here was quite a rarity.
âIt seems that what they say about Angel Camp, being prosperous but lacking in combat power, isnât just an empty rumor!â
Jia Yan looked around and felt that the situation here was indeed similar to what he had heard.
Indeed, Jia Yan had deliberately sought out this minor power for the current major scheme he had in mind!
âThis place where they are not too powerful but not excessively weak either, the possibility of getting involved here is still very high!â
