Meanwhile.
Javierās room.
Myra and Kalea were checking Gracelleās condition while Mimi lay on the couch, engrossed in her mana glasses.
"Uoohhh!! That food looks delicious nya!" Mimi exclaimed, her eyes glued to the screen.
Gracelle glanced toward where Mimi was lying down.
I wonder what sheās talking about?
She glanced around the room.
Thereās no food here.
Myra smiled warmly. "Okay, Miss Gracelle. Your health and condition are improving steadily. Your vitals are stable, and your body is responding well to the treatment."
Gracelleās eyes lit up with hope. "So can I eat normal food now? No more porridge?"
Kalea let out a weary exhale, shaking her head. "Not yet. But you can start eating light foods. You can add two or three pieces of meat and other soft ingredients, but nothing roasted or oily for now. Your stomach still needs to adjust."
Gracelleās shoulders slumped as she pouted, her expression a mix of disappointment and resignation.
"Mm... okay."
After Myra and Kalea left the room, Gracelle glanced at Mimi.
"Mimi?"
"Nya?"
Gracelle fidgeted with the edge of her blanket, her voice hesitant. "Umm... can I ask something?"
"Ask about what?" Mimi peeked from the couch toward Gracelleās bed.
"Umm... earlier, you said something about... you know... food?"
"Oh?" Mimi sat up and grinned before taking off her mana glasses. "I was checking the Gaze City market with this, nya! This mana glasses can show me any part of the world. I can see markets, forests, cities, even faraway places."
"R... really?" Gracelleās eyes widened with wonder.
"Yes, nya!" Mimi was about to leave the cushion and head toward Gracelle but paused. "Nyaaa... but husband said you shouldnāt use this yet. So no~"
Gracelleās shoulders slumped. "Fine..." She let out a long, weary exhale before continuing. "But Iām bored."
"How about we play a game, nya?"
"Block again?"
"You got bored of that?"
"Not really... but..." Gracelle mumbled softly. "I never win against you."
"Hmm... how about reading a book, nya?"
Gracelle shook her head. "No... Iām not in the mood for reading right now."
"Oh..." Mimi mumbled softly, tapping her lips with her finger thoughtfully.
Gracelle glanced around. "Whereās your sister?"
"Nya? Nee-sama?" Mimiās eyes lit up with excitement. "She went back to the Beastkin Royal Palace for a few days! She said she wanted to check on our parents and family, nya. You know how she is, always strict and proper, making sure everything is in order at the palace. Sheās the perfect princess, after all."
"Youāre not going with her?" Gracelle tilted her head curiously.
"Nah~ Donāt wanna. Besides, I can just contact my parents if I want to. And if I miss them, I can just video call them, nya~"
"Bi... bideyo?"
"Pfft! N... Nyahahaha!" Mimi pointed at Gracelle, laughing. "Itās video, nya. Vee-Dee-Oh~"
"Oh..." Gracelle exhaled softly, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "Iām still new with Javierās inventions, so... umm... Iām still learning."
Gracelle glanced at Mimi again. "How long will Big Sis Liana and Sis Gloria be gone with Javier?"
"Nya?" Mimi tilted her head. "I donāt know. They said it might take a few days, or maybe a week. Depends on the mission, nya. I donāt know what mission, but husband sama said itās important, so I didnāt ask too much."
"Why didnāt you go with them?"
"Nya?" Mimi pursed her lips, narrowing her eyes. "Theyāre going on a mission, not sightseeing. So itās boooooooring~ I hate missions. And besides, if I went with them, it would blow husband samaās cover, nya. So Iām staying here~ And youād feel lonely if I wasnāt here~"
Gracelle narrowed her eyes and pouted. "Iām not going to be lonely!"
Mimi shrugged and was about to put her mana glasses back on when Gracelle called out again.
"Whereās Delya?"
"Nya? Delya?" Mimi rubbed her chin, her tail swaying thoughtfully. "I donāt know, nya. Maybe sheās in the main kitchen or at the pastry pantry. That girl canāt resist chocolate, nya~ Sheās probably sneaking some sweets again."
Gracelle pursed her lips again. "Iāve heard a lot about chocolate, but Iāve never tried it."
"No can do, nya~" Mimi wiggled her finger with a sly grin. "Husband-sama said no, no giving sweets to you yet."
"Mou!" Gracelle puffed her cheeks. "Too many restrictions!" She hissed in frustration.
"Nya?" Mimi tilted her head, a teasing glint in her eyes. "Big Sis Liana did say that if you insist and want to die early, go ahead~"
Gracelleās eyes widened before she puffed her cheeks even more. "I will not die before I marry Javier-sama!"
Gracelle glanced at the window, watching the sunlight filter through the glass and cast warm patterns on the floor. The garden outside looked so inviting, with flowers swaying gently in the breeze and birds flitting between the trees.
"Mimi?"
Mimi, who had already lain back down on the couch, sat up again and rested her chin on the backrest, her ears perking up. "Nya?"
"Iām bored..."
Mimi narrowed her eyes, her tail swaying lazily behind her. "Nyaaa~ Someone said she wouldnāt be bored if I wasnāt here~"
Gracelleās shoulders slumped in defeat. "Mother and Father have already gone back to Mathrias. Big Sis Liana and Sis Gloria are with Javier. And I have nothing to do but lie in bed and stare at the ceiling all day."
"Nya? Itās only for a few weeks, or maybe a month, nya. Once you fully recover and start eating normal meals again, you can do whatever you want~"
"Mimi..." Gracelle said, pursing her lips. "Can we at least do something?"
"Nya? You said you didnāt want to play games or the block game again."
"Mm... I was hoping... maybe... we could take a walk outside? Or at least inside this estate?"
"Nya? Can you walk for that long? Youāre still weak, you know."
"Mou! Mimi! Thereās a wheelchair, right? At least I can get some fresh air and see something other than these four walls!"
Mimi tapped her chin thoughtfully, glancing at Gracelle.
"Okay, if you want. But Big Sis Liana already said not to take you too far, so weāll just take a walk in the hallway or maybe visit the kitchen~"
"Mm... Thanks, Mimi!" Gracelleās eyes lit up as Mimi went to fetch the wheelchair.
"Alright! Hop on, junior!" Mimi said cheerfully, wheeling the chair over to the bedside.
Gracelle slowly climbed down from the bed, taking careful, wobbly steps before settling into the wheelchair with a sigh of relief.
Mimi grinned and started pushing the wheelchair out of the room, closing the door gently behind them.
Once they were out in the hallway, Mimiās grin turned sly. She leaned forward and shouted, "Alright, nya! Full speed ahead!!"
Mimi broke into a run, pushing the wheelchair at a surprising speed. The wheels clattered against the marble floor as they zoomed down the hallway.
"Mimi!!!!!!!" Gracelle shrieked, gripping the armrests of the wheelchair in panic as the wind whipped through her hair.
"Nyahahahahaha!!!" Mimiās laughter echoed through the corridor as she sped along, her tail streaming behind her like a banner of pure mischief.
