Mr. Yin smiled at He Jinxuan, "When did you get back?"
He Jinxuan pulled Xinyan over, "I havenât been back long. Just got settled, so I brought Xinyan over."
Mr. Yin looked Xinyan up and down and nodded, "Not bad, you lucky boy."
He Jinxuan looked at Xinyan with affection, "Yanyan, this private restaurant is run by the Yin Family. Once you taste their food, youâll never forget it."
Xinyanâs eyes sparkled, "Hello, Mr. Yin."
Mr. Yin nodded at Xinyan with a smile, "Jinxuan bringing you here means heâs keeping you in his heart. I just wonder when this old man will get to drink at your wedding."
Xinyan didnât expect Mr. Yin to start off with nudging towards marriage, and her expression became a bit awkward.
Mr. Yin also sensed his faux pas and was about to explain when a voice came from the moon gate, "You old fool, youâre obsessed with matchmaking."
Mr. Yin, caught in the act, felt guilty, "I just think Jinxuan is old enough to settle down."
Xinyan saw a lady coming out of the gate, hair completely white but well-maintained. Ignoring the white hair, she looked like she was in her forties or fifties.
Noticing Xinyanâs amazement, He Jinxuan whispered, "This is Mr. Yinâs wife, someone who values a high quality of life. Even though sheâs in her seventies, she looks like sheâs in her forties or fifties."
Old Mrs. Yin walked over with a smile, "Oh, this Miss is really charming."
She then quickly walked over to Xinyan, "Look at this dewy skin, itâs like you can squeeze water out of it. Youth is wonderful."
Xinyan smiled gently, "You look very young too."
Old Mrs. Yin beamed at Xinyanâs words, "I love hearing that, though Iâm old. No matter how well I take care of myself, I canât compare to you young people."
Then she took Xinyanâs hand, "I recently got a can of good tea. Itâs a rare occasion to meet someone so beautiful; let me treat you to some tea."
Mr. Yin and He Jinxuan exchanged glances, both knowing that Xinyan had made a good impression on her. They both laughed.
Mr. Yin knew his wife was a beauty lover, but she wasnât always so enthusiastic upon seeing someone beautiful; it depended on the chemistry.
He Jinxuan was pleased but a bit wistful; he had planned for some couple time, but now Old Mrs. Yin wanted to whisk Xinyan away.
He rubbed his nose and said, "Madam, may I join in too?"
Xinyan turned to see his pitiful look and couldnât help but laugh.
Old Mrs. Yin also felt it was unfair to take away someoneâs partner, "Alright, you can come too."
But after a few steps, she turned back, shaking her head, "Boy, youâre really lucky."
He Jinxuan knew exactly what Old Mrs. Yin meant. He had the advantage of height and a healthy masculinity. Not ugly, but definitely not up to her beauty standards.
Mr. Yin coughed lightly, knowing his wifeâs love for beauty was flaring up again.
He Jinxuan looked at Mr. Yinâs embarrassed expression and laughed, thinking: This elderly couple is really interesting. One loves drinking, but Old Mrs. Yin worries about his health and is quite strict with him.
Over time, Mr. Yin figured out that the only time he could have a small drink was during various banquets, so he developed a fondness for matchmaking.
