Mother Meng replied from outside: "I told her to go buy salt, why are you calling her?"

Meng Yifei shook off Ling Keke and walked to Shen Guqing: "Gu Qing, listen to me explain, there is nothing between us, it’s not what you think."

Shen Guqing turned her head, catching sight of Mother Meng’s triumphant expression, understanding everything clearly. Meng Yifei couldn’t agree and reached once more for Shen Guqing, only for Xinyan to intervene: "At this point, it’s pointless to be melodramatic."
