The two hadnât walked far when they saw a group of people heading in their direction, led by Liu Jun and Liu Yating.
As soon as Gu Lingling saw Liu Yating, she let go of Yang Yunhaiâs hand and quickly ran over.
Yang Yunhai glanced at his hand behind her; the softness from earlier seemed to linger there, but the emptiness made Yunhai quite displeased.
"Brother Hai, are you alright?" Liu Jun had already run over and said happily, "Itâs great that youâre okay."
But why does Brother Haiâs mood seem unpleasant?
Could it be that heâs hurt?
"Why did you come?" Yang Yunhai asked aloud.
"Didnât you get into trouble? We sent people down to the valley to find you all, but they couldnât get down, though the situation at the bottom could be seen clearly. We didnât find anyone, so we split up to see if there was another way down," Liu Jun explained.
"Itâs really great to see youâre alright now."
"By the way, Brother Hai, how did you get out? Wasnât that valley deep? Werenât you injured?"
How is it possible?
But looking at the expressions of the two people in front of him, they seem quite fine.
"Just a little injury, nothing serious." Yang Yunhaiâs green military uniform had been used to wrap the ginseng, and the white shirt he was wearing now had blood stains on the back.
"You found my clothes." Gu Lingling said with surprise, "Yating, youâre really great."
She was thinking of checking the clothes when she got back to see if there were any issues.
"Of course, since itâs your clothes. Fortunately, when you threw them, they got caught in the bushes and werenât taken away by the wild boar," Liu Yating said.
"Give me the clothes first." Yang Yunhai said coldly to Liu Yating, "First letâs go to the hospital to check you out."
The latter sentence was to Gu Lingling; whether it was an illusion or not, Liu Yating felt his tone towards her was much colder than towards Gu Lingling.
"Oh." Gu Lingling originally wanted to say it was fine and didnât need a check-up, but thinking the clothes needed to be sent to the hospital for inspection, she agreed.
Liu Jun sent someone to inform Jiang Jiuming that they had been found.
"Why is he here too?" Yang Yunhai asked.
He hadnât forgotten that when Gu Lingling mentioned the wild boar incident earlier, it seemed it was Jiang Jiumingâs daughter, Jiang Hong, who had led the boar over.
"Him? Shortly after you left, we ran into him. He said he was out on business," Liu Jun said, "Then when we heard about trouble here, he followed us over."
Could there be a problem?
Yang Yunhai didnât respond. With so many people here, it wasnât the place to discuss these matters. Rather, they should first go to the hospital to do an examination on the little girl to see if she was alright.
As soon as Jiang Jiuming got the news, he rushed over, his voice reaching them before he did.
"Captain, are you alright?" Jiang Jiuming asked concernedly, "We were really worried about you, itâs good to see youâre okay."
Yang Yunhai nodded slightly and led Gu Lingling into the military base.
Behind him, Jiang Hong stared at Gu Linglingâs departing figure with reddened eyes, unsure of what to say for a moment.
This Gu Lingling is indeed as she said, too lucky!
Even with this, sheâs fineâisnât she too much of a demon?
"Are you very disappointed?" Liu Yating whispered in Jiang Hongâs ear.
Jiang Hong was startled by her icy voice, "I... did... not."
"You better hope thereâs nothing left on those clothes," Liu Yating said and followed Gu Lingling, ignoring the twitching Jiang Hong who was as shaken as a sieve.
"Youâre coming back with me." Jiang Jiuming glared fiercely at Jiang Hong.
