Zheng Xiangjun was in a good mood, and after staying in the hospital for two days, she clamored to be discharged. After consulting with the doctor, Yang Yunhai brought Grandma back home.
On the day of the discharge, Wang Shuyun and Yang Aiguo also came.
"Mom, I... Iâm here to take you home, please take my car." Wang Shuyun spoke weakly.
"I wouldnât dare sit in your car." Yang Aiguo wanted to speak, but Zheng Xiangjun immediately cut him off, leaving him no chance to continue.
"Hai Zi, letâs go home." She finished speaking with a cold snort, completely ignoring the troublesome pair.
"You two...," Wang Fangyi shook his head. Seeing the old lady glaring at him, he quickly shut his mouth and followed, knowing that if he spoke any more, she might disapprove of him too.
Wang Shuxia smirked and shook her head, then nudged the dazed Wang Shuyun, "What are you standing there for? Hurry home!"
Yang Aiguo, unfazed, followed behind Wang Fangyi. Wang Shuyun finally stomped her foot and followed after them.
A grand procession made its way towards the family quarters of a military district in the Capital City.
"Grandma is back!" Liu Yaxin gleefully ran over to Zheng Xiangjun, "Grandma, are you all better now? Does that mean you wonât need to go to the hospital anymore?"
"No more. That place smells awful." Zheng Xiangjun lovingly hugged Liu Yaxin.
Wang Shuxiaâs parents passed away early, and she was mostly raised in her second uncle Wang Fangyiâs home. She felt like she was a real sister to Wang Shuyun, so when she went home, she naturally went to the independent two-story villa in the military district family quarters where Wang Fangyi lived.
"Grandma just got out of the hospital, you canât tire her out by making her hold you." Seeing her daughter cuddled in Zheng Xiangjunâs arms, Wang Shuxia scolded gently.
"What are you worried about? I havenât seen our Xinxin in such a long time. Grandma missed her terribly." Zheng Xiangjun hugged Liu Yaxin, not even glancing at Yang Aiguo and her daughter Wang Shuyun as they came in.
"By the way, where is your sister?" Zheng Xiangjun asked.
"Sheâs upstairs calling Sister Lingling," Liu Yaxin said with a smile, "Sheâll be down in a minute."
Sister Lingling? Probably a classmate of Liu Yating?
Zheng Xiangjun didnât give it much thought.
Yang Yunhai, however, went upstairs upon hearing this.
"Uncle, Aunt, Iâll go cook first," Wang Shuxia said with a smile, "Aiguo, you can sit down and relax."
She also gave Wang Shuyun a look, signaling her to follow into the kitchen.
"Sis, can you even cook?" Wang Shuyun hesitated and asked.
None of their family members were good cooks. She herself was bad at it, and her sister wasnât much better.
"Today, Iâm going to open your eyes wide." With full confidence, Wang Shuxia was determined to show off her skills later and amaze the family.
"Yeah, Mom, I support you," Liu Yaxin said, waving her little fists.
"Auntie, you have no idea. My mom has learned a lot of dishes from Sister Lingling this year. Her cooking skills are top-notch now," the little girl said, sparing no effort to flatter her mom, giving a thumbs up.
"Oh wow, even our little foodie is full of praise. We must definitely try your momâs cooking later," Wang Fangyi said with a chuckle, pinching Liu Yaxinâs little hand.
"Of course," Liu Yaxin said proudly.
Yang Aiguo smiled as he watched the little girl, then glanced skeptically at Wang Shuyun, who followed Wang Shuxia into the kitchen.
If there hadnât been so many issues back then, they might not just have had Yang Yunhai and might have been like Wang Shuxia, who had three children.
Wouldnât the house be less quiet now?
