“We just came in for some fun,” Lu Yaobing said, smiling as she held Chen Xinran’s hand.

Chen Xinran asked puzzled, “Not everyone can come in here, how did you get in?”

Lu Yaobing mischievously laughed and replied, “I just came in with my master.”

Chen Xinran naturally assumed Lu Yaobing had sneaked in while others were unobservant. Almost everyone here was from the film industry. Chen Xinran was unsure how to persuade Lu Yaobing when Director Liu, along with Li Yao and Zhou Xuefei, walked over.

“What’s going on?” Zhou Xuefei immediately confronted Chen Xinran, reprimanding, “Didn’t I tell you not to bring people in? Why did you do it anyway? Do you even realize what you’re doing? You’re not a major star yet; are you already putting on airs?”

Zhou Xuefei snorted, saying, “They didn’t come with you? Did they just walk in themselves? Do you know what this place is? It’s rented out by the Cheng Family. “Director Liu, did you see that? This girl is truly clueless, bringing all sorts of random people in here. Those two, you can tell they’re trouble just by looking at them. They’re ruining our production’s image. You might as well kick her out of the production team now.”

Chen Xinran hadn’t taken two steps when she heard Zhou Xuefei’s words, her face changed immediately, and she paused.

Lu Yaobing initially didn’t want to make things difficult for Chen Xinran, but Zhou Xuefei’s remarks ignited her fury. Criticizing her was one thing, but insulting Chen Xinran—and even Song Xiaodong—was something she, as a disciple, couldn’t tolerate.

Releasing Chen Xinran’s hand, Lu Yaobing turned and marched up to Zhou Xuefei, angrily demanding, “What did you just say?”

“What did I say?” Zhou Xuefei was initially startled, taking a step back. However, realizing her retreat in front of a young girl was damaging to her dignity, she hardened her expression and said, “If you want to chase stars, stay outside nicely.
