“Miss Ono, please introduce Demon’s Corner to us.” Song Xiaodong said to Yumi Ono.

“Alright, let’s go inside the cabin.”

In the cabin, Yumi Ono gave Song Xiaodong, Sun Yiyi, Chu Xianling, and Lin Feng a detailed explanation about Demon’s Corner, showing them a nautical chart.

“This place is called Demon’s Corner because the reef here grows at an extraordinary speed and protrudes above the water in an unusual way, like horns reaching towards the sky, hence the name Demon’s Corner.”

Song Xiaodong and the others leaned in to look at the map, noticing three places marked within the vast ocean area, forming an almost perfect equilateral triangle.

“Why are the reefs shaped like this?” Song Xiaodong asked in confusion.

“We don’t know either. Even if reefs grow, they erode rapidly in the sea and can’t form such sharp shapes.” Yumi Ono expressed uncertainty.

“That’s because these reefs are made of magnet material, very hard, making them so sharp.” Xu Duoduo, hearing the discussion, came in.

“But you’ve been investigating this place for years. You should know, right?” Xu Duoduo said, tilting his head and studying Yumi Ono.

“Well, we do know, but magnets shouldn’t grow so rapidly…” Yumi Ono paused before speaking.

“It’s because of disturbances beneath the sea, causing rapid growth, and there are numerous underground currents in that area; the reefs are as sharp as knives. Whether stranded or the hull gets cut, or simply drawn in by the magnetic force, being trapped there is a certain death.” Xu Duoduo looked at Song Xiaodong and Yumi Ono and said.

“We know about the magnets there, so we’ve modified this ship to minimize magnetic attraction. The ship’s power is strong enough that, barring any unexpected events, we should be able to leave safely.” Yumi Ono said to Song Xiaodong.

“But what if something unexpected happens?” Xu Duoduo asked, eyeing Yumi Ono with ill intent.

“If something unexpected occurs, I can guarantee my company’s crew’s safe return. As for you guys, that’ll depend on your diving coach’s performance.” Yumi Ono’s response was calm and assertive.

“Alright then, let’s just wait and see.” Xu Duoduo walked out directly.

“Indeed, competitors can be rivals!” Song Xiaodong sighed.

On the way, the sea was calm, the sun bright, and both Xu Duoduo and Yumi Ono remained safe and sound.

Two hours later, the weather changed drastically.

A magnificent and enormous shadow cloud like a mushroom cloud from a hydrogen bomb explosion rose on the northwest corner of the sea, rapidly spreading like a puff of smoke, quickly covering the northwest sea surface, while a narrow strip of light fell quickly between the sea and the clouds.

Xu Duoduo and Yumi Ono both looked intensely at the weather anomaly in the northwest.

That narrow strip is the descending rain line between the sea and sky.

The weather forecast clearly said the sea was calm and suitable for sailing.
