“Oh, it’s a long story… We don’t come from the same world, but when I died in my previous one, I was actually pretty damned old. You know, people can get a bit bored as they age. To make up for this boredom, I took taste to having delightful discussions with my victims”

“Of course, it isn’t like in the movies, where the big bad does the monologue while good guy number thirty-two had a loaded gun within arm’s reach… It was more like now, with the recipient for my monologue unable to do anything to shut me up or otherwise get away from my incessant barrage of words”

Edrick stepped up to Xiao. Both the protagonist and Ai had their wrists, ankles, and chest bound to long ropes that went through the walls themselves.

This mechanism effortlessly kept them above the ground. It also seemed like their positions could be rearranged in real time if need be. Clearly, this room had been heavily thought out, and a fair sum of money had gone into creating it to suit its owner’s desires.

The Elt scion walked around the Chen scion for several minutes, inspecting every millimeter of Xiao’s body with surgical attention and unwavering focus.

“Just as I thought, you are way too masculine, Xiao. I try to picture you with longer hair, in a nice outfit, and with some makeup... But unlike Shu, you are just too much of a man. It just doesn’t work”

Anoteros shrugged.

Anoteros tapped the ring on his finger.

It was the ring that had been fused with two special rings granted by the system. However, Edrick was mostly referring to the Twink-Master’s Ring here.

Anoteros tilted his head to the side with a grin.

Xiao went silent.
