As they parted, Sheng Ning expressed her thanks, “Cousin, thank you for taking care of Chen Huaying for me.” When she found out that the man with Bai Oulan was Shen Yu, she felt immensely grateful to Su Huai’an.

“Yes!” Su Huai’an’s expression carried a hint of sarcasm. “Shen Jianguo is Shen Yu’s distant cousin, but the two families don’t get along well and seldom interact!”

Sheng Ning’s head buzzed as she experienced the complex interfamily relationships for the first time.
