Su Huaiāan watched her befuddled expression and a smile unconsciously ticked up on the corner of his lips.
Huh? Why is the room light still on? Chen Huaying threw back the covers only to come face-to-face with an up-close, handsome visage.
It must be said Su Huaiāanās face really was breathtaking from every angle without a single flaw. Clear-cut, elegant, neither demonic nor flamboyant, with a shy smile that carried a hint of kindness and integrity. Bold and spirited when advancing, genteel and refined when retreating.
For a moment, Chen Huaying was entranced, wondering how she had never noticed before how handsome the professor was. She finally understood why so many classmates secretly harbored crushes on Su Huaiāan. He truly was a handsome cypher.
Since it was all a dream anyway, she figured she might as well take a little advantage without anyone knowing.
Teehee... Chen Huaying felt as sweet as if sheād eaten honey and lunged at the handsome face before her, her bright red lips landing squarely on Su Huaiāanās thin lips.
Good heavens! Why did this feel so real? Chen Huaying gently took a bite, the softness and the coolness carrying a flavor that made her heart race.
Su Huaiāan was also stunned. He had just come to check on his student to see if her injuries were serious. This was a habit he had developed, for fear that Chen Huaying liked women and he, therefore, felt compelled to be a bit more considerate.
Even if she liked men, he was still her teacher... Su Huaiāanās handsome face flushed instantly, the fetching shade of red spreading from his ears to his eyes.
In those innocent eyes, there seemed to be a bloom of subtle peach color as well.
"Iām sorry! Iām so sorry!" Chen Huaying suddenly leaped out of the bed, "Professor, I... I didnāt mean to take advantage of you, can you... can you just pretend this never happened? I promise not to tell anyone."
Su Huaiāanās face was as still as water, meticulously adjusting his clothes. Inwardly, he couldnāt help but be amused; this girl was too naive, blindly apologizing even though it was he who had entered her room.
"Professor, are you not angry with me anymore?" Chen Huaying tugged at his sleeve, cautiously asking.
"Iām thinking of expelling you tomorrow."
"What?" Chen Huaying exploded. "How could you expel me?"
"However, if you behave yourself, I might consider not pursuing the matter."
Chen Huaying was nearly scared to death, her face turning red for lack of breath. "Professor, please calm down," she said. While apologizing professedly, she was actually seizing the opportunity to take advantage, her hand accidentally touching Su Huaiāanās, which startled her with its coolness.
"Why are your hands so cold? Youāre not wearing enough; hurry up and put them under the covers to warm up." And with that, she pulled Su Huaiāanās hand under her blanket, utterly oblivious to the fact that Su Huaiāanās face was now so red it was almost bleeding.
"Let me tell you, Iāve been a little heater since I was a kid. When I was young, my whole family loved to have me warm up the bed. As long as you donāt expel me, Iāll warm your bed for free in the future." Mr. Chen was so magnanimously theatrical that it scared even himself; which man in the entire school would dare to compete with her in this aspect?
Who wouldnāt call out āMr. Chenā upon seeing her?
"Really?" Su Huaiāanās eyes held an unfathomable depth, his hands nestled inside the warm blanket and suddenly feeling his whole body heating up.
"I mean what I say," Chen Huaying patted her chest.
"Alright, then itās a deal," Su Huaiāan withdrew his hand from the blanket and placed it on her forehead to check on her wound. Thankfully it was just at the hairline and not too serious.
"Are you thirsty? Iāll go get you some water, so just sit tight."
"Ah? Oh!" Chen Huaying was dumbfounded. Was she still not fully awake?
Su Huaiāan took a cup and went downstairs to the kitchen to fetch Chen Huaying some water, where he happened upon the orderly, Xiao Liu. The two men had a narrow encounter in the kitchen. Xiao Liu rubbed his eyes, then rubbed them again.
Hmm! No mistake, it was Su Huaiāan.
