“He’s already here?”

“Then why didn’t you say so earlier? It’s not good to keep Housekeeper Xing waiting.”

Sheng Ning and Gu Yunbo exchanged a glance, then finally herded everyone downstairs. One person carrying kids, another hauling car seats—by the time they got downstairs, sure enough they saw Housekeeper Xing in an elegant tuxedo standing at the entrance.

Behind him was an extended RV, looking impressively imposing.

“You’ve waited long.”

Housekeeper Xing bent at the waist and bowed. “It’s my honor to serve a lady.”

Housekeeper Xing opened the car door. The RV’s interior was very spacious; it could fit several people at once, including strollers for the kids.

The two little babies were seeing something this novel for the first time, their big eyes rolling around, taking everything in.

“Are you married, Housekeeper Xing?” Sheng Ning asked casually.

There was a dedicated driver at the wheel, and the rest of them were seated in the RV. The ride was quite a long one, so it was a good chance to ask a few more questions.

“Not yet.”

“My uncle too.” Sheng Ning thought of Su Hai. “He’s almost forty and still hasn’t gotten married.” No, in her previous life Su Hai hadn’t married either, and she’d never heard any gossip about him.

“Your uncle must be busy with work.”
