Chapter 2171

2171 Protect her

“It’s not too bad. This is Zi Yin. She and Ling Chuxi both have tier four five elements spiritual Qi. This is Shi chenhua, with tier three five elements spiritual Qi.” Chi hanbing said. Their Chi clan was always suppressed, no wonder they were not strong enough. However, now that Chi hanbing had accepted Ling Chuxi as his disciple, she was confident that she could definitely change this situation. Now that he had seen Ling Chuxi defeat the other party, Chi hanbing was even more certain of the premonition in his heart. Therefore, he didn’t want to argue with the other party anymore.

If it was in the past, Ling Chuxi would definitely have found it strange to hear that Chi hanbing was deliberately hiding her true innate talent. However, after understanding the complicated conflicts within the ethereal sect residence, she understood.

The tallest tree in the forest would be destroyed by the wind. Exposing her talent too early would bring her some benefits, but it would also make her a target for all, and even cause the two elders Tong and Jie to be afraid of her, which would not be worth it.

Chi hanbing had done this to protect her. After all, she was only a half-Saint on the outside. If someone wanted to harm her, it would be hard to guard against.

Feeling Chi hanbing’s good intentions, Ling Chuxi was a little touched.

Ye Xiaoqi and the others weren’t stupid either. They gossiped all the time and knew the internal disputes of the ethereal sect residence like the back of their hands. They understood Chi hanbing’s intention after a moment of surprise and didn’t say anything.

It seemed that there were some benefits to gossip. At least it could develop his intelligence and expand his thinking.

“So this is young master Shi. I have long heard of your great name. It is a rare opportunity for you to be able to become a disciple of elder Chi. In the future, you must cultivate well and not let down elder Chi’s kindness.” Elder Xie had heard of Shi chenhua’s reputation before and subconsciously ignored Ling Chuxi and Zi Yin as he spoke politely.

“The three of them have good aptitudes. I’m still inexperienced, so I’m afraid that accepting them as disciples will delay them. So I want to accept disciples on behalf of my father. In the future, they will be my junior sisters and junior brothers.” Chi hanbing said.

“This …” Elder Tong and elder Jieyu were both stunned.

“No, definitely not.” Xie Feiying was also stunned and said firmly.

Just now, she had used her Senior sister’s status to suppress Ling Chuxi. Why was it that in the blink of an eye, Chi hanbing wanted to accept a disciple on behalf of her father? then wouldn’t her seniority be higher than his? no, no, if that happened, wouldn’t he be waiting to be laughed at by others? His face had been thrown to his grandmother’s house.

“According to the rules of ethereal sect, every elder can take in five personal disciples. My father has never taken in any disciples before he died. I’m his only personal disciple. He also left his last words that if there’s a wandering cultivator with good aptitude, I’ll take in the disciple on his behalf. The two elders were there at the time, so I don’t think there’s any objection, right?” Chi hanbing ignored Jie Feiying and said seriously.

“This … This matter is of great importance. Elder Chi, do you want to reconsider?” Elder Tong and elder Jie said in unison. It was obvious that they didn’t agree with Chi hanbing’s decision.

Wasn’t it just taking in a disciple on behalf of his master? was there a need to be so serious? Ling Chuxi was a little puzzled.

However, after thinking about it, he understood.

Among the three branches of ethereal sect residence, the Chi clan was the weakest and had the least population. Even if Chi hanbing took the three of them as his disciples, there wouldn’t be much of a change.

However, if they were to accept disciples on behalf of their master, they would be Chi hanbing’s junior brothers and sisters. Their seniority would immediately increase, and their status would be much higher than the other disciples. The Chi clan’s status would also be slightly higher.
