Chapter 1711: More spirits

"Are you sure that this is the right place?" I asked Ifrit in my mind as I looked at the lake that was in front of me.

Ifrit just said, "How could I be wrong? I can feel the traces of that woman from anywhere."

I didn’t say anything in response to this since I didn’t want to stoke the rivalry between Ifrit and ’that woman’. It was just that ’that woman’ was the one that I was here looking for.

It wasn’t that I was looking for another wife.

In fact, ’that woman’ as Ifrit referred to her wasn’t actually a woman.

It was a woman when it came to spirits, but it wasn’t a woman when it came to humans.

That was because the one that I was looking for was the Water Spirit King, Undine.

In the game, the release of one Spirit King was usually followed by the release of the other Spirit Kings.

Since the Spirit Kings were being released into the world, I would collect them before the others found them. After all, it was dangerous to let the Spirit Kings fall into the hands of others.

The Spirit Kings were dangerous entities in this world and the hands that were the safest were one’s own hands. It was for the best if I took them than to let others take them to use against me.

But in the first place, it wasn’t as if these Spirit Kings were that easy to come in contact with, much less make a contract with. So even if people were to find these Spirit Kings, it would be hard for them to actually gain their power.

Unless they were people that had knowledge from another world.

"Well, let me know when you find the entrance." I said before turning around to walk towards a group that was having a picnic by the lake.

Ifrit gave a snort in my mind, but he still continued looking for the entrance as per my instructions.

When I came over, there were three voices that called out, "Papa!"

A smile appeared on my lips when I heard this and I went over to play with my three daughters.

Though the main goal in coming to this lake was to find where the Water Spirit King was hiding, the cover that we used was that it was a royal family vacation.

That meant that all of my wives and my three daughters had come along.

I didn’t actually tell anyone about the Water Spirit King, so the prime minister and the chancellor were very happy to make sure that this happened.

That made me feel a bit guilty towards them, but I said that I would pay them back later.

As for the items that were needed, I just directly took them from the royal treasury.

Since I was the king, I was able to get these things without a problem.

And unlike Ifrit who required a decent amount of things, it was easier to form a contract with Undine. As a water spirit, it was only natural that Undine would have a more gentle nature than Ifrit.

But before going to find Undine, I was going to go play with my daughters.

"Come on, let’s go fishing."

While I was staring at the lake, I had also set up three rods for my daughters which was what I had said I would do.

They excitedly came over to the side of the lake and each grabbed one of the rods that I had prepared for them.

However, it seemed like they were slowly losing patience when they didn’t get a single bite.

I couldn’t help shaking my head with a faint smile when I saw them like this, but there wasn’t anything that I could do. If the fish weren’t biting, then they just weren’t biting and nothing could force them to do so.

As I was about to suggest that we do something else, there was a bite that suddenly came from one of their rods.

Then following that, the other two rods had bites as well.

So I quickly went forward to help the three of them who seemed like they were being pulled towards the lake.

With my strength, all it took was a single pull to pull back all three rods.

Though the moment that the hooks came out of the lake, we couldn’t help being surprised by what had been pulled out.

"Papa, strange fish."

My daughters were right to call it a strange fish, if only it had been a fish.

But the things that had been pulled out weren’t fish, but rather small blue humanoid figures.

The moment that I saw these things, I knew what they were.

"Ifrit, see if you can get anything out of these water spirits." I said before turning around to explain what happened to my wives who were coming over to see what happened.

They were surprised to see that there were water spirits here as well since they had heard about the fire spirits that had been found under the volcano.

The mother of my three daughters couldn’t help stepping forward to bring their daughters back just in case it was dangerous.

"Let me go and take a look to see why there are water spirits here."

They immediately agreed to let me handle this as they went back to play with our daughters.

Seeing this, I couldn’t help revealing a bitter smile as it felt like I had been abandoned.

Still, Ifrit said, "They said that there’s a hidden cave under the lake and that’s where that woman is hiding."

I gave a nod before saying, "Alright, bring me there."

Following Ifrit’s instructions, I found that there was actually a hidden cave inside a group of rocks that was on the side of the cave. If one didn’t know where to look, they certainly wouldn’t have found the entrance to this cave.

From this cave, I could sense the mana that was leaking out which showed that there was a powerful spirit inside.
