Chapter 1717: Undine (6)

"Huh?" Undine was completely caught off guard by this change in my personality.

I had been calm and collected before, but there was a trace of excitement that was in my voice as I said this.

It would be strange if I wasn’t a bit excited by this since it wasn’t as if there were just a few treasures that were in this place.

"This isn’t like you." Ifrit couldn’t help saying before adding, "You didn’t act this way in my dungeon."

As he said this, there was a part of him that seemed jealous that I was acting this way towards Undine’s dungeon.

I just calmly replied, "It’s because I couldn’t act this way in your dungeon. Even if I wanted to take those things, it wasn’t as if I could do that since we had discovered your dungeon together."

After a pause, I couldn’t help adding with a bitter smile, "Or it’s better to say that you announced your dungeon to the world."

When neither of them said a thing, I said, "It’s not as if I can take everything when everyone discovers your dungeon together since they are our allies. If I don’t share with them, it’ll be hard to maintain the current relationship that we have. It’s different when I discover a dungeon alone and don’t have to share."

"You’re acting like a child."

I really didn’t want to hear it from the two of them who had been arguing with each other like children during this time.

So instead of answering them, I just simply asked Undine, "So tell me about all the treasures that are here. Or even better, lead me to all of the treasures that are in your dungeon."

Undine didn’t know what to say at first, but eventually she said, "Alright, I’ll take you to them."

In the end, she figured that it would be better to hand these over rather than to leave them here.

Following Undine’s guidance, we left the throne room and went to a place that seemed to be a treasure room.

But when we arrived, Undine couldn’t help saying, "How do you already know how to get here? I didn’t even say anything and you were already heading in the right direction."

I didn’t say anything in response to this.

Instead, all I did was look a bit disappointed with Undine’s guidance.

After all, I already knew about this place because of my memories from my past life.

I had been hoping that she would take me to a place that I had never been to before, a place that didn’t exist in the game. But in the end, it seemed that there was nothing that could be changed in this world since it was based on that game.

As such, there was only so much that Undine knew.

"Now the best items in this room are...Wait, why are you already heading towards them?"

I just ignored her as I went to pick out the best items from my memories.

Or it could be said that these were the only items that had been available in this room according to my memories.

A game world wouldn’t just give a bunch of loot, a game world would only give the best loot available.

So that meant that the things that one could pick up from this place in the game were definitely the best items in this room.

But after picking them up, I could see that there were still plenty of items that were still left in the room for me to take with me. As I was looking at this room filled with treasures, I couldn’t help feeling that I had made a mistake.

I had been thinking in the mindset of a gamer, but it wasn’t as if there were only these treasures that were in this room.

It would have been different in the game since the treasure would have been nothing more than part of the background. One wouldn’t be able to take these treasures since they were just part of the scenery.

But it was different now that I was in the world that was based on the game.

All of the items that should have been background items were now real.

That meant that if I wanted to take them, there was no reason why I wouldn’t be able to take them. It wasn’t as if any of these items were cheap to begin with, so it would be a shame to leave these things here.

With this thought in mind, I didn’t hesitate to start cramming all of these items into my Storage Ring.

"Contractor, are you alright? Why are you suddenly acting like this?" Undine couldn’t help asking when she saw me suddenly cramming everything into my Storage Ring.

But I didn’t say a word as I focused on just taking everything that was here.

Once I was done with this room, I didn’t waste any time heading to a different location.

"Where are you going?" Undine asked me, but I just ignored her as I continued forward.

"Wait, how do you know about this place?"

Once again, I didn’t answer as I started ransacking the place.

It wasn’t just the special item that I took, I took anything that I thought had value in this place.

It wasn’t just one or two places that I did this, I started ransacking every special place about this palace.

In the end, Undine couldn’t help saying, "Please stop, you’re destroying my palace!"

"Look, I’ll give you special items if you just leave this place alone!"

"Stop it! You’re ruining the home that I created over the centuries!"

But I didn’t stop as I continued ransacking this place.

After a certain point, even Ifrit couldn’t help feeling sorry for Undine as he said, "How about we calm down a bit. There’s no need to act like this."

However, I just ignored both of them as I continued taking everything that I thought was valuable from this place.

"Please stop!"
