No, even before considering whether I would be able to power this thing or not, there was something else that mattered more.
There were a few parts of it that seemed like it was out of shape.
It wasnât that it was broken, it was just that there were a few things that seemed like they had been blown.
"Could it be that they used this portal to escape? If thatâs the case, where did the people of this ancient civilization go?"
I only gave myself a moment to think this before focusing back on the portal itself.
It didnât matter where those people went right now, all that mattered at this moment was figuring out how to get this portal working so that I would be able to leave this place.
As I looked at it, I could only think of one thing...
"I have no idea what Iâm looking at."
Even though I could see that there were circuits that seemed to come together in some kind of magic array, this kind of circuit was just too complicated for me. It almost made my eyes cross from looking at it with how complicated it was.
So it was only normal that I wouldnât be able to see through this portal at all.
The more that I looked at it, the more it felt like my head was spinning.
In the end, I had no choice but to give up.
When I gave up, I turned around to look at Lupus and asked, "Can you make sense of it?"
Lupus was a godâs messenger that had lived for far longer than I had, so she should have much more knowledge than me. She had even proved this when she taught me quite a few things about magic that I had no idea of previously.
It was just that she also had a confused look on her face when I asked this.
Lupus didnât answer right away when I asked this, but eventually she shook her head to show that she had no idea what she was looking at.
She had clearly taken her time in an attempt to see if she could figure something out, but she really couldnât see through this thing at all.
For even Lupus to fail to see through this thing, it was more than enough of a testament to the complexity of the magic array on this portal.
Which really raised the question of what we were supposed to do with this.
Even if we could guess what this thing was, it wasnât as if we were able to do anything with it.
"Can we even fix this?"
I stood there while shaking my head with a wry smile on my face, but I knew that there was no other choice. Other than this, it wasnât as if there were any viable options of getting us out of this place.
So in the end, both Lupus and I continued to observe the portal in an attempt to find a way to fix it.
"I have no idea what Iâm even looking at."
That was the result of our careful observation.
It really didnât matter how hard we tried when there was a lack of foundational knowledge to make sense of it all. In fact, it just made it worse when we tried our hardest to observe this thing since we were just grasping at straws and trying to make guesses.
That meant that all we did was make things harder for ourselves to understand since we would make all these wrong guesses.
"What if you tried using your creation divine energy?"
I was caught off guard by this sudden suggestion from Lupus before looking at her as if I was trying to figure out what she meant by this.
Only I could tell that she was sincere about this.
It didnât seem like there was any logical reasoning behind it, she was just asking me to use the creation divine energy to see if I could do anything with it.
It was just that the creation divine energy wasnât some kind of magical power that would be able to fix everything.
So even if I wanted to use the creation divine energy to take care of this, it wasnât as iof it would be able to do anything.
However, it seemed like Lupus was looking at me as if she was just waiting for me to do this.
Seeing her look at me like this, I had no choice but to do it in the end even if I didnât have much faith in this.
The key thing was that we really didnât have any other options.
When I released my divine energy, I really didnât have any hope that it would be able to do anything.
As the divine energy was released, it wrapped itself around the portal and didnât seem to do anything. With the way that it wrapped around it, it looked like it was just inert energy that wouldnât be able to do anything.
This wasnât that surprising to see since it was expected that it wouldnât be able to do anything.
At this point, I was just putting on a show for Lupus to make her feel better.
But after a while, it felt like this was nothing more than a waste of time and I was about to pull back my divine energy.
Only before I did, there was something that changed.
"Ugh..." I gave a grunt as it felt like there was something that was being pulled out of me.
This was a sudden change that completely caught me off guard.
Not to mention that it was only getting stronger and stronger.
It felt as if whatever was pulling this thing out of me was only trying to get more and more of it without caring about the consequences. After all, I could feel that my body was getting weaker because of this thing being pulled out of me.
