Chapter 2200: In just one day

The very next day, I was shocked to find that Alidus had completely changed.

"That’s a domain..." I looked at him with a very strange look as I said this.

In response to this, there was a proud look that was on Alidus’ face.

All the others also looked at him with strange looks while this was happening.

After all, there was no one that had expected him to make this kind of progress in just a single day. He was the one that had been struggling the most when it came to learning how to see the flow of the divine energy in the first place.

Everyone had expected him to be the last one to learn this.

But now he had proven everyone wrong by being the first one to actually obtain a domain.

The only thing that was on everyone’s mind now was, "How did he do it?"

After all, it didn’t seem to make any sense that Alidus would suddenly figure this out.

Alidus didn’t seem to care as he demonstrated his domain for everyone.

While this was happening, I made sure to focus on his domain to see if it was indeed a proper domain. It was just that no matter how I tried probing it, I really couldn’t find anything that was off about this domain.

No matter how I looked at it, it really seemed like a proper domain.

"Let’s test it out." I said with a sigh in the end.

Alidus didn’t seem to have any fear at all as he nodded in agreement to this suggestion.

In fact, the excited look on his face even showed that he had been waiting to show off his domain.

Since we decided to spar, I released my domain in response to press down on Alidus’ domain.

The moment that our domains made contact, it didn’t seem like there was a side that was about to collapse. At least it seemed like it was a proper domain that it wouldn’t break down with just a single push.

Though it was clear that my domain was stronger than Alidus’ domain as his domain was being pushed back.

This was just the difference in experience since my domain was something that had been formed for a long time while his was something that had just formed in a single day.

There was a large chasm in experience between us.

However, Alidus didn’t back down even though his domain was being pushed back.

It seemed like he was gathering the power of his domain even though my domain was pressuring him.

Then all of a sudden, he burst forth.

I could tell that this was the power of his domain that allowed him to move at this speed.

It was just that...

"Is that really all that your domain can do?"

I wasn’t the only one that was a bit disappointed when I saw this, the others were also disappointed since they didn’t think that the power of Alidus’ domain was all that great.

After all, it was just a simple power boost that he had received from the domain.

Alidus didn’t say anything as he swung the club at my domain.

In response to this, I just summoned some weapons that flew right at the club he was swinging. However, not all of the weapons hit the club at the same time.

Speed was power when it came to my domain and I was making full use of that speed by layering it. It was a relentless storm of attacks that would land one after another.

It wasn’t that I was doing this just to make things difficult for Alidus, I was putting pressure on him like this to see if I could draw out his latent power.

I didn’t believe that this was all that his domain had to show, which was why I wanted to force out more of its power.

But in the end, the only thing that happened was that Alidus was sent flying by the force of my attack.

"Is this really all that his domain has?"

Once Alidus landed, it didn’t seem like he was going to give up as he charged at me once again. It was just that the same thing happened where he was sent flying by the attacks that I released.

It didn’t take long for Alidus to completely tire himself out.

Even if he had been the first to form his domain, it wasn’t as if he was in full control of that domain. He didn’t have the same experience as me and he didn’t have the same amount of divine energy.

"Huff, huff." Alidus was just panting on the ground when it was all over.

I looked at him with a strange look as I said, "Well, just keep working on it. Even if you haven’t figured out the power of your domain, at least you’ve managed to form a domain."

Everyone looked at him with a similar look before heading off to do their own thing.

After all, it would be best if this was what it was.

It would be a bit too awkward for Alidus if all that his domain did was make him a bit stronger.

There were plenty of other ways to become stronger and using a domain like this seemed like a bit of a waste.

"There’s no way that a domain should be that simple. There has to be some kind of special attribute to the domain." This was my thought after seeing Alidus’ domain, but I kept it to myself since it wouldn’t help if I were to tell him this.

Domains were things that one had to figure out for themselves since it was what they took pride in.

So it would have the opposite effect if I were to mention anything to him.
